I really like this Hotel. Staffs are really friendly and helpful. I would definately stay here again if I get a good deal again for this hotel. There is a casino on the hotel. Great to spend some time. This hotel may not be very good for families with kids but great for business and single travellers.

A large Gem with quiet atmosphere, the InterContinental V Hotel and Casino was a fantastic fine. For a large convention hotel, it was a quite oasis with charm; a great view of the ocean (Get an Ocean View Room), and easy walking or cab ride to most parts of the city. The staff was wonderful; providing advice, tour destinations, and travel -- recommending places too eat and scenic spots to just sit and be. No complaints here... I will stay there again.

1)This Hotel is so so.. room cleanliness is awful.. in my two month stay at the hotel they didn't even clean the carpets once.. which was filled with hairs and who knows what other things might be living there. 2)The room looks old. 3) Tv set is quite old and cable tv only has about 30 channels and no quality movies to choose from. 4)The personnel treats you well except for security guards that confused one of my co-workers with a street girl... 5) breakfast is the only decent food this hotel serves 6) Lunch buffette is pretty average 7) Dinner is awful and they take forever to deliver the food to your table I waited once 1:15 minutes for the food. 2nd time I left... 8) room service food is awful I ordered about everyting in the menu and only had good results with the seafood. Forget about red meats, chicken and pastas. 9) Checkout and payment is always an issue. I was working under a tax free company and they still calculated the taxes wrong every time I went to make a payment. 10) Casino.. is ok.. I'm not much of a player but I did visitted it twice and spent a total amountof a whopping $50.00 each time Hope this gives you a better idea of what you are getting in to.

I was please with the space of the room. Three telephones, one in the bathroom area conveinant. The staff was very friendly. The dining was perfect. The hotel was in walking distant to shopping and dining.

Overall okay hotel room, was open and mostly clean. I would have like to have the bath tub height a little lower. An older person would have real trouble stepping over it to use the shower. Bathtub/shower bottome very slippery. Room lack a full curtain to block out the lights at night. I didn't appreciate the open door to the casino allowing cigarette smoke to permeate througout the hotel lobby and the open second floor.

The gym. The room - it had an awful hair dryer, stained carpet & no bathrobes. When I check into a standard room, the room smelled musty, the bathroom had mold growing under the grout in the bathroom & there was no down comforter. I immediately called to upgrade to an executive room, which smelled like smoke. The hairdryer was awful. The hotel staff was nice and there is a good gym. However, I am not likely to stay at this hotel for future business trips.

"Our stay exceeded our expectations, The rooms were awesome, the view impeccable and the service from EVERY employee was friendly and informative. Only missed opportunity for the hotel property is that the elevators did not go to certain floors, unfortunately our room was on one of them. Therefore, we continually had to exit one floor below and walk up. We did report the inconvenience to the maintenance team, and when we left it still was not operable. Most definitely would stay at this property again. "

The Hotel Interconinental is a hotel strictly for the business traveler. We had numerous problems with the staff not being able to speak English which resulted in billing problems. When we arrived we asked for a upgrade to include breakfast for the week. We were told that there would be a total charge of 81 dollars for the breakfast. When we went to check out, they wanted to charge 81 dollars for each day. It took quite a while to get it taken care of. There is not much to the tourism in Santo Domingo and felt very unsafe at times. There are a couple of bars and clubs around the corner from the hotel with some questionable charactors hanging around. Do not use your credit card in the Dominican Republic as they charge about 20% for each transaction and also I doubt that it is very safe.

The InterContinental V-Centenario Santo Domingo is a very beautifull and clean hotel. The staff was very friendly and respectfull. I have visited Santo Domingo on many occassions and have stayed at numerous hotels and in my opinion, this is one of the most clean hotel I have stayed in. However, there were a number of small things which I didn't like about this Hotel. It is situated right on Avenida George Washington with a beautifull view of the ocean. The draw back to this is that it is a very busy street and so traffick is very heavy. Even though I was on the 10th floor, the noise from the traffic was unbearable. I suggest you get a room in the rear part of the hotel. Second, the Pool is not the greatest. It is small and suddenly dropps from 2 feet to 7 feet deep, which is very dangerous if you're not a good swimmer. Third, don't eat at the hotel's restaurants. They are extremely expensive. $20 for breakfast for one person. And if you're looking to party or hook up with someone, don't count on doing it at the hotel. It is mostly business oriented. Overall, excellent accomadations. Would recomend it and stay at the Intercontinental again.

The food at the hotel is excellent and the staff is very friendly. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel overall is very clean and comfortable, the food at the restaurant and room service was excellent as well. I have stayed at this hotel 4 times and I recommend it.

The Intercontinetal V Centenario was very pleasant. Room was a good size and had a view of the Caribbean. Staff was extremely helpful and professional. Facilities were well-maintained including the gym and the pool. Had a great afternoon at the spa too!

We liked the overall atmosphere and how well the location of the hotel was. One misunderstanding with the room. This hotel is well situated in an area where tourists can visit the Colonial part of this country without having to travel too far. It has a nice view from the entrance of the hotel and if you are a person who enjoys the beauty of the ocean. You can really get a great view from nearly every room in this hotel.

The room that we had at teh InterContinental V Centenario was very comfortable, had a good view of the beach and the city, it also had good space plus the atention of the employees was very good. I personally would recomend the hotel too any one.
