Put the do not disturb sign on my door during the day while I was not in the hotel and the cleaning personel still came into my room and cleaned it (and did not even do a thorough cleaning). To top it off, I woke up with two huge welts on the back of my leg that itched like crazy. After returning home, I looked it up on the internet and I found out they were most likely BED BUG bites. Now I am worried that my luggage and work bag were infected and I brought the bed bugs into my home. Check your beds carefully in this hotel!!!!

The Hotel Indigo is a very pleasant "boutique" hotel in a heavily residential part of downtown Chicago. It is relatively intimate and the front desk staff and doorman are very friendly. The beds are incredibly comfortable and large and the linens are fresh and crisp. The bathrooms are very small with doors that are "in the way" and very small toilets. However, the showers are roomy but the pressure could be a little stronger. The tables/desks make in-room work a pleasure. However the maintenance in the room could be better (noisy fans, better placed outlets, etc.) I have stayed there three times and the rooms are very pleasantly decorated with wood floors. Overall, it is a nice comfortable place to stay for business. The rooms would be small for more that two people.

Desk clerk very helpful in getting us info on locating a Blues bar we wanted to go to.

This is a very nice and pretty hotel in a great location. However, the wall between the rooms allowed us to hear every word spoken and someone snoring.

Unique decor. The front desk clerk. I booked and paid for a queen room in advance with Priceline. Upon check-in, I was told that there were no queen rooms available and that there would be an additional fee for a king room. Luckily, I had my confirmation information with me. As I began to call Priceline to settle the matter, a queen room suddenly became available. After that, it was very difficult to feel welcome at this facility. This was not how I envisioned celebrating my 25th Wedding Anniversary.

This was our first stay at an Intercontinental brand hotel, and it was disappointing. Room service didn't show up, room door didn't lock, rooms are tiny, front desk staff was condescending. Ok location and comfy bed, but price is too high for just that.

Charged for three nights of valet parking, Only stayed two nights. Also Orbitz did not mention anywhere that I could see that there was a $37 dollar per night fee to valet park your car. Valet was also the only option for parking. Plus the staff was kind of snobby and very rude when I called back to resolve the overcharge on my credit card. It was a unique room, and it had a seat in the shower (that won me over, hahaha).

Hard wood flloors in the room. No pool. It was clean, comfortable and very nicely furnished.

This was a great hotel for our women's weekend. The Gold Coast area is a good/safe place to be and the walk for shopping and eating is easy. The style was so fun and upbeat. Colors were bright and cheerful. Everything was new. Bathrooms are a little tight, but that can't be helped. I'd definitely recommend it.

I am so pleased to write a review for the Hotel Indigo Goldcoast. This is by far the nicest, sweetest most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed at (I have stayed at a lot!). The staff goes above and beyond to make me feel taken care of, and the rooms are so cute and beds comfortable. The location is the best in town-tree lined streets, and cafes-wonderful! I plan to stay at this hotel every time I come to Chicago, which is several times per year!

The decor of the hotel, guest rooms were nice and the location. The front desk person did not welcome us with a greeting at all, in fact, she was rude. I felt the need to give you feedback about my stay at Hotel Indigo Gold Coast in Chicago, IL. First impressions are lasting impressions. My husband and I were rudely greeted by the lady at the front desk (no greeting at all) and after handing her my credit card for possible incidental charges, my card was returned to me by throwing it on the desk rather than handing it back to me. Not only was her attitude horrible, but the room she assigned us was awful with a brick wall as our view. Initially, she automatically assigned us a smoking room without asking if that was what we wanted and when I asked for a non smoking room, she grudged at the thought of reassigning us. After finding that we were assigned a room with a brick wall for a view, I called to request a room change, I was told that there was no other room available because they were at 90% full. I then called back and spoke with a young man who searched and offered us an upgrade for an additional fee of $20 per night. Although he was more helpful, as soon as we opened the door, the smell met us. The ventilation in the bathroom, although it made noise as if it was functioning, did not work properly at all. The toilet paper and bath towels stayed damp the entire two days of our stay. The room was nicely decorated, but the bathroom was so small that one had to get into the shower and maneuver to open the door to get out (we are average size people). I was a hotel/restaurant management major in college, I know how important customer service is to the customer and to the hotel in order to survive. Before checking into this hotel, I had just checked out of a hotel at the airport that had impeccable customer service, so much, that I would definitely refer those interested to that property. The walls are very thin! Ask for a room away from the elevator, but either way,

Older building, recently updated using high quality materials throughout. Funky color scheme, attentive staff, good location. Pricy, like everything in that area.

I was so pleased with the staff at this hotel! They went above and beyond taking care of everything I needed. And the reason was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. I felt like it was my own little apartment! I truly didn't want to leave, and plan to stay at this hotel each time I come to Chicago, which will be often! The location was perfect! I loved the area!

Creative, clean. Crowded, no pool. It was better than I expected and good for the small price I payed. Also the area of town wasn't too bad.

The decor in this hotel was fantastic! It's not you average, run-of-the-mill place to stay! It has a very calm feel with wonderful accents everywhere! The service was exceptional with very friendly and helpful staff! Only thing about this hotel I didn't like was the room size. The queen bed room was a bit small, but the decor was still fantastic, with a wonderful spa like bathroom with Aveda products! The restaurant's food was pretty good and again the staff were great!!!

Hotel is on the Gold Coast but very quiet street, walking distance to shopping, nightlife, dining areas, entertainment. Room was spacious and very well furnished. This is a boutique hotel but spacious,

I would say this is a roadside motel. I found the bed bugs and a bad smell. No room cleaning.

"Pros: Delightfully appointed in a perfect and vibrant location. Decor is bright, unusual, and fun. Rooms are adequately appointed and comfortable. The hotel is a short 1 block from the Red Line. Reasonably priced for location.Cons: Very small rooms. Hallway noise easily heard. Bed/mattress not great."

The hotel itself was great, clean, decorated very nicely, it was definitely a unique experience. The housekeeping staff and managers were extremely helpful and professional. Also, the night time front desk staff were very helpful. However, the front desk staff during the day were not professional or respectful. They did not provide the service you would expect at a hotel.
