Hotel a little down at heel, but location good near Calignacourt train station. We had a room fronting the street which was fairly noisy given the nightclub over the road! Staff very helpful and the nearby suburban shopping strips were excellent for eating, etc.

Very friendly and helpful reception who all spoke reasonable English. Check out the local weekend flea markets - 500m away with 4000 plus stalls! Antiques a speciality. In the African quarter so very multicultural area. Couple metro stops from Sacre Coeur and Moulin Rouge. Cheap and no frills but suited my needs.

The rooms are small and in need of renovation. They are however clean and the bed comfortable. The location is good - only 200 metres from the metro and the price is relatively cheap for Paris. The staff were very helpful.

Many thanks to the hotel and hotel staff. Very fine hotel, very convenient and cosy. I hope that next time if I will visit Paris of course it would be that hotel. The breakfast is perfect as well as the location, close to metro station. Many thanks again!!!

Rooms and beds very small. Interior very simple. Area at night not good for women travelling alone. Bathroom is clean but ugly and very small. For short stay only.

The location is good, though far from the centre if you go on foot. A quiet district, the metro is very near. a very welcome addition was a fan and a kettle, provided by the hotel.

Nice simple hotel in Montmatre. Slightly out of the way if you intend to walk into the city centre, but very literally a stones throw away from the closest Metro station. The staff were polite and very friendly, while the breakfast was pretty decent too (cereals, toast, the usual). The cleanliness of the hotel really clinched it for me though. Fresh sheets and towels everyday, with the room impeccably made up all week. Brilliant. Potential guests should be aware that the area where the hotel is situated (north of Montmatre) can be a bit dodgy if coming back at night alone though. Should be fine if traveling in groups though.

Problems with room reservation. There were only one room for us, when we arrived. After 3 hours we got 3 rooms. No other problems and we will at any time come back.

We stayed at the Iliade Hotel in Paris in January 2009. The first thing to say is that it is about 30 metres walk away from a Metro station which is great. Even though it's at the end of Metro Line 4 (Porte de Clignancourt) we found it very easy to access everywhere we wanted to go just by hopping on the Metro after breakfast. The breakfast was cold buffet with a nice selection of foods and unlimited coffee for junkies like myself. Overall very happy with the breakfast. I would describe the room as a good 2 star room (this is a 2 star hotel after all). The room was reasonably small, accomodating a bed, a window, a TV, toilet, shower but for a budget hotel we found it comfortable. There were also some niggles like a shower curtain that had seen better days with some mold at the bottom and the towel rail had fallen off one side. I suppose the most important point is that when I come back to Paris later this year I WILL consider staying at this hotel again.

Cheap and cheerful, this hotel is in a very good location, nearest metro stop is about a three minute walk, plenty of restaurants nearby and they serve a very good breakfast too, rooms are very basic and clean.

This hotel is in a great location in Montmarte, right beside the metro, lots of nice affordable restaurants nearby (try 'Tour of Pisa!!') and shops. Staff were really nice, helpful and friendly. Rooms were basic but clean, but perfect for a base for doing all the Paris sites. I would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

The hotel represents good value for money in Paris. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Although only continental the breakfast was excellent and contained a good range of items. The metro is nearby but it is at the end of a line so 20 minutes from main tourist spots. It is not a particularly good area so care should be taken at night. The room was adequate and quiet but bathroom was very small. A good option for short stays but for a longer holiday in Paris something better might be in order.
