Two issues - (i) food at the restraurant was very average - I would have expected a better quality steak in Queensland - the beef was too young and did not have much taste. When told the waitress she seems to say "so what" - which was not really appfreciated - since if she did not want to hear the truth she should not have asked me; and (ii) no free wireless - which is unusual these days.

The rooms were very clean and spacious, bathroom a bit outdated, but very adequate. No pool or gym, but within easy walking distance of the city centre. Staff were helpful and friendly.

We stayed here at the end of our honeymoon and found this to be a nice, clean, modern hotel with good service. The rooms are very large but long and thin and the bathrooms are a touch on the small side. We also did not hear any noise from the hallway or street only 3 floors below. The location is good, within 10-15 minutes walking distance of both the Queen Street shopping and restaurant area and the RiverWalk area across the Victoria bridge. The area immediately surrounding the hotel is a bit dark as there is a significant amount of construction, but as New Yorkers, we felt fine walking around at night. Overall, this is a good value and we would stay here again!

Staff were friendly and helpful, changed rooms when asked due to double allocation of keys. Good location to the city, within easy walking distance.

This was the cleanest hotel we stayed in during three weeks of travel. It was close to the center of the city, although the first few blocks nearby were undergoing redevelopment. We would stay there again.

Breakfast was quite good, parking is elsewhere probably a 3 or 4 minute walk, all up the location proved quite handy we would stay again.

Don't like showers over bathtubs .We are in our senior years and have knee problems. Desk staff were courteous , efficient and helpful.

The price was double the normal rate because of the Australia v New Zealand rugby match on that day. Whilst I booked for a twin room they had reserved a double room - it was sorted out while we waited though.

The heater does not seemed to be working well. But we have a room with a very nice view. The location is also very good. Just that we had to wait quite some time at the reception counter during checking in as well as checking out.

No onsite parking, and considering this, the parking at the nearest parking station should be free.

Very disappointed. I had a room on the smoking floor which is never normally the smartest, however, the carpet was covered in stains, plug sockets were not secured to the wall, the shower room had stains on the walls and the shower itself leaked badly so getting the temperature required the skills of a safe cracker!

I understand this is the economy arm of the Accor group, and whilst the staff were friendly and helpful, I was left a little disappointed by the lack of hotel facilities (ie: no business centre, gym or Concierge) Other than that I would stay again, circumstances permitting.

Car parking situation is not the best - have to park in Mercure car park around the corner, there is no lift from Mercure to car park - you have to walk down the ramp that cars use. Found it unusual that a charge was applicable to use the internet with my own computer - maybe all hotels in Australia still do that?

Not enough towels or pillows in the room for two visitors staying

Some advice : book a room away from the lifts if you are a light sleeper.
