"My husband surprised me and booked us here. I was impressed. You feel like royalty. It is furnished with beautiful antiques, museum like. It's at a wonderful location on the grande canal, away for the crowds but steps away from everything, St. Mark's, restaurants, shops and vaporetto. I can see why royalty, presidents and celebrity have chosen the Hotel Gritti Palace Venice. The service is impeccable. It is considered the best hotel in Venice. It is not a brand new hotel, it is circa 1500's."

Recently (9/17-20/07) Stayed at the Gritti Palace for 20th anniversary. From the arranged water taxi from the airport to getting us a reservation at Da Fiore for our anniversary dinner on short notice, the staff answered our every need. Location is excellent for all sites and wonderful views across the Grand Canal.

After a long week of traveling, my wife and I were very appreciative of the attentiveness and friendliness of the Hotel Gritti Palace's staff. What a beautiful hotel and what a warm and accommodating staff. From the moment we checked in we felt we were treated like VIP's. We were given a complimentary room upgrade without asking and the Junior suite was something to behold. We will definitely be back to Venice and will be sure to stay at the Hotl Gritti Palace when we do!

We stayed at the gritti palace for 3 nights. It was wonderful, location could not be better we came in august th weather was hot the bar longhi terrace was a beautiful place to relax with a bellini watching the gondalas. The decor at the Gritti is pure luxury. We would definately stay again we were made to feel welcome by the staff who were not stuffy at all. The only down side of the Hotel Gritti Palace Venice is the price of the breakfast at fifty euros, which i think was rather expensive.

good Hotel within perfect location in Venice. I was dissapointed that Breakfast was not included in the price of USD 600/room (without view to Canale Grande). Compared to other hotels there prices are too high.

It's like a luxury hotel of twenty years ago but lacks the panache of a modern luxury hotel (like the Cipriani). The rooms are fine but unimaginative, the public areas boring. The best thing is the terrace overlooking the canal. I thought e50 for a full breakfast a bit steep.

Lovely hotel but very bad value for money. I also thought that charging us 30 euros each for breakfast both days was outrageous. I would not return. Monaco and Grand Hotel was as equally nice and very good value.
