Old hotel versus modern convieniencesThe hotel is housed in an old building and this was refelected in the hotel layout and room. The weather was very warm and with no air con, you either suffered a hot stuffy room or opened the windows to the passing street noise. Next time we will request a room at the back of the building.

A nice and clean hotel right in the old town center. My room was on the streetside and a tad noisy: outside it's bustling with tourists until late at night. The upside of that, of course, being wonderful cafés and restaurants right at your door. One thing: if you serve a great breakfast buffet like they do at Gravensteen's, don't spoil it with highly annoying (and loud) music in the breakfast room. Sadly, a lot of hotels have the same problem. Other than that, a short but fine stay.

Nice hotel near the main attractionsNice hotel right next to all of the main sites, and steps away from Castle of the Counts. Staff spoke english and were attentive. I booked a single room and it turned out to be a very large room for a single, including what I think must be a larger bed than the advertised double bed. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. Breakfast was generous in terms of variety of food offered and reasonably good. My room was facing the street which was quite noisy, but overall I was very pleased with the hotel and felt it was very good value for the price I paid (which I think was probably an off-season price).

The breakfast was very good. The rooms were nice and big and clean, albeit a bit bare and not that fancy. Great location in the middle to Ghent and good parking.

The room was very hot and stuffy as there was no air con. so we ended up having the windows open all night which was very noisy. The trams run late into the night and the hotel is very good for being centra, but there was lots of noise throughout the night from revellers.The shower curtain was too short and had holes in it, so water form the shower went over the side of the bath.Some of the bathroom floor tiles were broken and stuck to your feet if they were wet, these could have cut them, and been quite dangerous.There was no coffee/tea making facilities which would have been nice. I would have taken my own travel kettle if i had known. We were plesently suprised at the buffet breakfast as it had stated a continental one. There was a choice of boiled and scambled eggs and bacon. As well as the cereals, pastries, ham, cheeses, and breads. Overall the hotel was good for the price and very central for sightseeing, but in need of redecoration.

breakfast was the normal continental but was of good standard . hotel could not be better placed right in the centre with plenty of bars ,cafes and restaurants but not noisy of a night. easy to find if you take your directoins from the trian station .would stay again
