Firstly I liked the style of the hotel and its location. Very handy for walking to Macy's, Empire State etc with a good subway line only two blocks away for trips downtown or uptown. The rooms were very large, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was ample but difficult to find a table in the morning, there just wasn't enough room for a hotel full of guests! No noise from other guests at night but plenty of noise from outside;bring earplugs! I felt that although free tea etc was offered all day in the lobby, some of us would really like to grab a hot drink whilst lounging around in our pjs - so a kettle in the room would be good. Next point, for that price I expect good pillows, not the flat things you might have at home. So guys you might want to invest a bit more there. Also what's the point of having a really nice roof terrace if it's full of non guests, mainly young noisy yuppie types and no seats available for paying guests to enjoy a pleasant evening drink? We had to make do with sitting in the lobby, trying to pluck up courage to approach the glowering, scary barman. A smile and a pleasant word with your prosecco makes for a happier guest. So great location, big spacious rooms - good. But not quite up to the level it thinks it is.

Excellent value for money and excellent service from all staff. Nice location accessible to the sights and features of New York but not so close to downtown to be noisy. Highly recommend the Giraffe and will definitely stay there again and recommend it to family and friends.

Very, very nice hotel - service, location, amenities, rooms, staff - all top notch. Really a bargain for Manhattan. We are already planning to stay here on our next trip.

Celebrated Anniversary-very warm welcome. Pretty and attractive room, nice little balcony, nice bath. Managment left a bottle of prosecco and chocolates with Anniversary wishes-very nice touch. Great lobby, 24 hour coffee, juices, ice water, cookies. Wonderful wine and cheese in evening and continental breakfast. All inclusive with price. Would stay again in a heartbeat as long as prices remain affordable.

I thought the hotel was well priced for the location and the quality of the hotel. It felt comfortable, welcoming with good service. It was nice to stay in a smaller more personal hotel rather than the larger chain hotels. I would recommend the Hotel Giraffe New York as a good quality place to book. A couple of great restaurants a stone's throw away, try the Blue Smoke or the mexican basically next door, great food and atmosphere.

We really enjoyed our stay at the giraffe. We were there the weekend before christmas, and its central location was perfect for us. The happy hour wine/cheese tastings were a great bonus. And our room, while not extremely spacious, was very comfortable and had enough room for our bags and for us to move about freely. I'd definitely stay at the Giraffe again!
