The hotel was in a wonderful location just a block from the Duomo. We had a beautiful view of the dome from our window as well. The room was very clean and we had wonderful time staying at the hotel. Our only problems were for some reason the elevator and part of the lobby had a horrible smell; not just one day, but the entire trip. We held our breath at times while riding the elevator. The room and bathroom were very clean, but the bathroom was very dated. The toilet handle had to be held during the entire flush, and the shower had no pressure. Other than these issures, our stay at the hotel was wonderful. Our next trip to Florence has a good chance of booking here again.

Our family of three spent two very nice nights in Florence at the Fenice Palace. The hotel had good A/C, friendly staff, and the location meant we could do all our sightseeing and chores in Florence on foot. We arrived on the train and walked quite easily to the hotel. The breakfast was the only downside. The breakfast room was cramped and the coffee was awful. There were many bars close by so next time we would just go out for our espresso. The public area was a cool and comfortable place to rest after the hot streets of Florence.

The location, a hundred metres or so from the Duomo, is brilliant, but it does mean that rooms overlooking the street can be noisy.
