The hotel was easy to find and get to using the Metro. There are several restaurants and a market nearby that made everything very convenient. It is very close to the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides - just perfect for touring and family walks. The pleasant and helpful staff was a joy as well, they did everything they could to help us and provide us with information we needed. The room was small, but clean and comfortable - the a/c was great and the water shower had great water pressure. All in all, a great place to stay for tourists and visitors.

Fantastic hotel, great location for Eiffel and Invalides and Metro! Staff were super and very helpful. This hotel is definitely on my list of places to stay again.

I stayed at this hotel on the tail end of a business trip. The room size is typical for European hotels. It's not the type of hotel room you want to hang out in all day, but it definitely suited my needs for an overnight stay. I stayed in one of the smaller rooms. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom was small, but met all my needs. The location was a 10-15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and a 15-20 minute walk to the train (with luggage). I felt very safe walking around Paris late at night and returning to the hotel after midnight. There was lots of information in arious languages about things to do in Paris.

Since we were going to be in Paris for Bastille Day, I chose the Hotel Duquesne for it's proximity to the Eiffel Tower. We were lucky enough to have a wonderful view of the tower from our room and enjoyed watching the spectacular fireworks from outside our window. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was small, but very nicely appointed. The hotel was a few blocks from the Ecole Militaire metro stop which was very convenient for getting to other parts of Paris. There were some nice restaurants near the hotel, and we felt safe walking everywhere, even late at night. There was Wi-Fi internet access, but it was only available in the lobby for some reason. They also had an Apple computer station that guests could log on and use.

The hallways leading to the romm are dimly lit. The lights in some of the hallways dont lit up and hence makes it difficult to locate the rooms. Otherwise the hotel staff especially the reception staff are very cordial. In geberal it was a very nice stay at the hotel and I would recommend this hotel for others to stay.

This is a great hotel within a 10 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. Metro was just 2 minutes walk. The rooms were small but clean, tidy and very well furnished. We had a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower from our room. Breakfast was very good and included cooked food as well as the usual continental choices. The staff were friendly and spoke excellent english. They also appreciated us speaking French. All in all this is a great hotel, one which we will certainly return to and recommend to anyone travelling to paris.

We could look out our window and see the Tour Eiffel, which was wonderful. Also, the room was kept very clean and the maid service was great. We love staying in the 7th and this is a great location near the Tour Eiffel and the Invalides. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Highly recommend this place!!

My wife and I always enjoy walking around a city when on vacation and this hotel is nicely situated in Paris. It might have been nice to be a little closer to the Latin Quarter but the view of the Eiffel Tower made up for that. The Metro is very close as are some decent food choices if you head up near the Champ de Mars.

Centrally located to the Metro, and the sights we wanted to see. The Eiffel Tower is within walking distance from the Hotel. Best of all was the helpful staff. I needed to contact Visa because of a stolen credit card, and the staff assistance was outstanding. Would stay at this hotel again!! Be aware of the cost of the Hotel breakfast before eating their.

The Hotel location was perfect for our liking. It was within a 15 minute walk of the Eiffel Tower, but not deep in the central city where it would tend to be noisier. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good english. The hotel was also a very good example of a traditional European Hotel as compared to the large chain hotels such as the Marriott or Hilton. The nearby train station (Ecole Militaire) allowed quick access to all city attractions.

We stayed a week at this hotel for our Honeymoon in one of their Superior Rooms, Orbitz didn't allow me to book the better room but I was able to email them and upgrade and they gave me a good rate. The bed was comfortable for both my wife and I who are both around 6ft tall, views were amazing even from our second floor room. We were in walking distance of everything. Instead of paying the 12Euro for breakfast we found a bakery just a minute walk away with very good food and prices and it was on the route to the nearest metro stop which we used a lot. It is a great hotel for adults, couples, and travelers looking for a nice modern European style hotel experience. I wouldn't recommend it for families with small kids or anyone looking for the typical U.S. style hotel.

The reason I returned to Paris was to take a friend who had always wanted to see the Eiffel Tower and so we wanted to stay relatively near that monument. We just had to lean out our window to see the beautiful structure ... it was a perfect, ideal view. The rooms are small (but it is Europe and they don't have American-size hotel rooms); but, other than the size, the rooms were perfect. I actually stayed in one of the rooms with a picture on this site (a green one and it was great). I would avoid eating the "breakfast" b/c it is rather overpriced unless you like a lackluster selection with warm, room temperature milk. The staff was very helpful and very friendly and EACH of them spoke English. My French is not great, so they were very helpful. The only bad thing about this hotel is that since it is so very close to the Eiffel Tower the other monuments of Paris are a good 2 miles away (just bring walking shoes ... if is very fun walking the streets of Paris). I would most definitely stay here again.

It took us a little while to find the hotel, but I fault our horrendous sense of direction. The hotel is in a great location - a short walk from the Eiffel Tower, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle with cafes and shops within walking distance, and two short blocks from the Ecole Militaire Metro station. The people at the front desk are beyond helpful and always pleasant, regardless of the time of day. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated. Are they small? Yes, but most standard rooms in Europe are small, so we didn't mind. We would definitely go back!

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They even gave us good instructions on how to use the subway. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious!

The rooms, while small, are nicely done. We rented 2 rooms on the top, 5th floor. Both had balconies with views of the Eiffel Tower. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. They were always willing to offer pointers and advice. The location was fantastic. Just two short blocks to a major Metro station and four blocks from the Tour Eiffel! The only complaint is that we wished we had wifi in the rooms. However, wifi is available in the lobby, as well as a computer that has internet access. All in all, it was a lovely hotel and we highly recommend it.

I was impressed at how modern the hotel seemed. Must have been recently renovated. Not much room to move in the bed, but it was way comfortable. Well-sized bathroom, accommodating staff, stick your head out the window and see the Eiffel Tower. Not bad at all. Close enough to decent metro stops. Very pleased and surprised to receive all these perks at a hotel priced so much lower than others I had been looking at.

The Duquesne Eiffel hotel is very conveniently located---about 10 minutes walk to the Eiffel tower and 5 minutes from Rue Cler and its wonderful food shops. The nearest metro stop is only about a block away. There are some nice bistros and restaurants in the area. The neighborhood is a typical working class area so not alot going on at night. The hotel itself is very nice. There's a bar in the small but comfortable lobby. We did not avail ourselves of the services of the staff so I cannot comment on the helpfulness of the staff other than at check in. However, we did find the staff to be very efficient and speak very good English. Unfortunately, there is no view from the hotel but this was more than made up by the lovely rooms. The rooms are elegantly appointed and not overly small as in most Parisian hotels. The bathroom had a full size tub with all the amenities one would expect at a 3 star hotel. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice hotel that is centrally located and has a neighborhood feel.
