The room was fairly cramped but we were only there for one night,so all we really needed was a bed!The price of the wine was OTT.In France one would expect to pay e10-15 for a half decent bottle but they charged us e26 for a fairly average wine!

Food and selection of wine very good. The only negative was my partner finding a piece of glass in her main meal. Although the owner/manager ?? did offer another meal it was nearly finished. Very little concern shown, it could have had serious consequences. The rooms were of average size but the bathroom was far too small. It was only possible to sit on the toilet sideways (most uncomfortable)

This was a dreadful hotel and difficult to find. The hotel website grossly misrepresents the views and the condition of the hotel. The photographs must have been taken from another hotel or manipulated to attract custom. The grounds were badly maintained and the external dining area dirty. I would not recommend the Hotel Du Lac Foix to anyone until it has clearly been improved.

The place is in beautiful surroundings and this compensates for everything else. The rooms are basic but clean and the only thing to note is that it is not centric, you will either need a bike, car, or enjoy a long walk into foix. The rooms dont have mini fridges which would be useful give the distance from the town. Good place for peace and quiet.

The water from teh bathroom was causing a problem that needed to be fixed soon, the wall in the hall as a result was very damp, otherwise an excellent hotel.

For me the location was a little upsetting as it was 3 km from the station. However the hotel made up for this.

The hotel had a pleasant location by the lake and a decent sized room. The staff were friendly and helpful. A more detailed map emphasising the route via Foix town centre would have been helpful.

Idylic location - much better than we thought. Food and service in the restaurant was excellent. Only downside was no air con - 35 degrees! We also managed to lock ourselves out of the hotel - so remember to take you key if you go out in the evening!
