Great value hotel in heart of Old Town Malaga. Room was clean and comfortable. Only complaint is the street noise, but not a major issue.

Hotel Don Curro is located very central to historic Malaga,as well as plentiful shopping and dining. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful toward someone like me whose Spanish is weak.

The hotel is perfect (the location and the service in particular). The problem is that we have to pay 10 euros more for each person every morning. As i said before the booking should include the breakfast(which is a rich buffet).

A super weekend in MalagaThis hotel is ideally placed to experience the delights of Malaga, We arrived with our friends on Friday lunchtime and stayed two nights. We all agreed that the hotel was a real find and provided excellent value for money. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our rooms were spotless and provided everything we required. Breakfasts were excellent - both in the quality and variety. We didn't hire a car - but didn't need it as everything - the Alcazabar, Cathedral, shops etc are all within walking distance. We would certainly use this hotel, if we were to stay in Malaga again.

The hotel is centrally located, excellent for bars, tourist sights and the Picasso Museum. It is a 10 min walk from the beach and the English Cemetery.

Malaga is often overlooked by travels going to the Costa Del Sol. This a big mistake and location of the Don Curro Hotel is excellent.

We have stayed here on a few previous occasions for the convenience of the hotel location.Staff are largely efficient although not particularly friendly at reception in particular.Notwithstanding this, the hotel has good facilities for a city centre short stay.

We stayed at the Don Curro for 2 nights in January 2009. The staff were very helpful at check in and spoke good English. The hotel is in an excellent location right in the centre of Malaga and is just off the main shopping street so is quiet at night. The reception, bar and room were all in excellent condition. The room had excellent beds, towels, toiletries, minibar, tv, hairdryer etc. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Fantastic value for money.

Great location very near Alcazabar, Gilberfaro, Cathedral and a range of shops. Comfortable beds, well stocked minibar, lovely bathroom. Was near to bus stop for airport and within reasonable walking distance from bus and train station.

The previous comments on Don Curro were accurate,, the rooms were excellent and were clean and tidy at all times. We were very central to all the facilities of Malaga city. The only female member of staff was the maid, very efficient. The male receptionists were very solemn and serious otherwise very efficient. This is a hotel that I would recommend to anyone looking for a city break.

We are quite familiar with Malaga and chose the hotel due to its central location in close proximity to public transport, bars/restaurants, museums and other attractions. We stayed for three nights from Saturday until Tuesday, everything was excellent over the weekend but there was considerable noise throughout the day on Monday so I suspect that renovations were taking place. More problematic was the noise (scraping of furniture, loud footsteps and window/door banging) from the room above us throughout the night and next morning although it became a bit quieter once it was brought to the attention of the reception staff. Apart from that we could not fault the hotel and would definitely stay again.

The Hotel Don Curro is ideally located in the heart of Malaga, a 2 minute walk from Calle Marques de Larios where the smart city shops are based and the whole area is littered with stylish restaurants in traditional Spanish architecture and marble lined pedestrian walkways. The hotel is very clean and has been refurbished to high standards with smart room fittings and bathrooms, basically more like a 4 star in quality. From the airport, forget the taxi and catch the No 19 bus which takes about 40 minutes and drops you off with a 3 minute walk to the hotel, all for 1 euro! Overall, the Don Curro offers an excellent base for your visit to Malaga and great value for such a smart city centre hotel. Guy Folwell.

Very central, but watch out for extra charge for parking €15 per day

Got this room at a reduced rate. We were able to check in 3 hrs early without ant problem. The rooms are large and clean. There was a lovely balcony and it was very central. Even though I wouldn't be able to afford the full rate, I think it would bre worth it. Seconds walk from lovely bars and restaurants. About 20 mins walk from the beach. Would stay there again.
