Diplomat is a 4-star deluxe hotel located in the heart of Stockholm financial and business centre. With 130 guestrooms, some rooms have beautiful views of Stockholm harbour, all with complimentary wifi. Hotel Diplomat has one health club, 2 bars and one restaurant so we are well suited to accommodate your client. Trendy TBAR has a greater number of seats and after a fortnight of refurnishing and redecorating the trendy hangout is cooler than ever. The windowsills that formerly played host to fantastic flower arrangements are now seating areas; friends passing by can easily spot you and join in the fun. The Scandinavian brasserie still aims to serve local produce, apart from the wines and spirits that are as international as the clientele. Relax, refresh and rejuvenate your body in Hotel Diplomat's Retreat featuring one exercise machine, sauna and a large jacuzzi. The large jacuzzi offers a relaxing time and cooling off after a sauna. During 2011 Strandvagen 7c celebrates its 100th anniversary - King Oscar II got his boulevard, Strandvagen, in the late nineteenth Century. Strandvagen 7 was completed in 1911 and was one of the first buildings on the esplanade. The Malmstrom family bought Strandvagen 7c in 1918 and during the depression let out several of the grand apartments to foreign embassies. The remaining apartments were converted into hotel rooms. During 1940-60 Strandvagspensionatet was run on the first floor. The present owner Sune Malmstrom turned the building into a modern hotel in 1966 and took the name Hotel Diplomat.
