Reception Staff were always very friendly and helpful!! The location was fantastic for sightseeing in Paris. Breakfast was really good everyday and the cleanliness was of a very high standard. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Paris and I would certainly stay there again!!

The room was comfortable & had a good bed. The hotel was also in a pretty good location - just a few blocks from the Louvre Museum. Food and transportation were close by. The only thing about the room/hotel that took a bit of getting used to was it's size. Our room was VERY small (just a few feet larger than the double-sized bed on all sides). Also, the elevator was only large enough for two people or one person w/ a suitcase. The only reason I wouldn't stay here again is the cramped size of the room. It was, however, an overall good deal.

Very pleasedMe and my 2 friends arrived at the hotel and was very pleased with the look of reception and the friendliness of staff. Moved us into a 3 bed room (rather than double and single) without us even asking. Always very happy and friendly on reception. Room was suprisingly larger than we expected after reading other reviews. We didn't use the restaurant as lots of places near by. TIP 1 - The nearest metro station, Chatelet Les Halles is very close but the station happens to be huge with many exits! Leave by exit that has gym, library and UGC cinema at the exit. This is the quickest route to the hotel past a small square of a few bars. Reception have good small maps of the immediate area. TIP 2 - Small cafe around the corner sold brekfast for 6euros (can't remember the name sorry) but it was the cheapest place we found if you walk right out of hotel then left, they have the brekfast offer on blackboard in window. TIP 3 - The metro is great to get around, but still take your walking shoes. Some of them are quite a walk to get out of and change lines at! (Also metro tickets are valid for the tram at Sacre Coeur, so don't buy their's if you have one already)TIP 4 - I normally get taxis from airports, so was worried when told Charles De Gaulle is quite a way out of the city. We bought tickets from the kiosk for train in airport and found it really easy and stress free as there is no changes to the nearest station - we had to just walk to other side of airport inside to reach platforms.

city breakstayed here for 2 nights. We pretty could and location was great to get everywhere in paris. However it is a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro. However, the breakfast to average for UK standard for Paris it was poor. If I was to go back, i would get something from the local places nearby.

Went to Paris for a week May 10-17 08. Great location and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even were able to direct us to things like net cafes, laundromats and gyms. The location was just fantastic, very close to the Louvre and the Siene and plenty of transport, shops, restaurants and bakeries close by. Would definitely stay there again. One night.The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was smaller than expected and a little dark but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were happy with the room for one night but probably not for longer. Location was convenient.

We were very happy with the customer service from this hotel. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and very thoughtful. I left behind my cell phone and they recovered it, called me back in the States and researched the most inexpensive and safest way to return it. In terms of the hotel, the room was small, but we were comfortable. There was room for our luggage. We weren't in our room much. I read complaints about the small hallways and energy saving light switches and all I can say is that you have to be flexible when you are traveling. Paris is an old city and I think that travelers have to respect that hotel owners are trying to do the best with the space they have. It's hard to find a 3 star hotel with the amentities of a 4 or 5 hotel!! I stayed in another Emeraude Hotel earlier in my trip and was pleased with their customer service and rooms as well. I chose this hotel because the price was fantastic and the hotel was also located in the lst arrondisement which was important to us.
