The location was just a few blocks from the train station which worked out perfect for me. There is also a Metro Stop just outside. The lobby is great and has some cool fountains. There is also internet available downstairs. They said WiFi only works downstairs but I had no problem using it in my room on the second floor. The rooms are small, but the bathrooms have a huge tub, but no shower. The only thing I didn't like is that our "window" opened up to a little alcove next to another rooms window. Other than that it was a good stay for a good price.

RoomThe room was a little smaller than I am used to in North America but I enjoyed the character of the room and the hotel. The first room we were given was on the 1st floor and it was quite dark. The view was a ventilation shaft and roof top. The hotel was quite accommodating and changed us to a room higher up with much better light so it was quite pleasant. The hotel was very helpful in providing access to internet.

We like this hotel. Very easy to find and very beatiful once u step in the lobby. And also the breakfast is very nice . We were stay there for 2 days. If u are first time visit brussels, think of this hotel.

Hotel des coloniesThe hotel is at an excellent location just a minute walk from a metro station and a short walk to City 2, a major shopping area, and the Grand Place square. The hotel is nicely renovated and the sraff are very helpful. The only slight inconvenience has to do with the lack of internet connection in the rooms. However, the lobby does have a computer and wireless signal that works very well. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would definetely recommend the hotel to anyone on business or tourist trip to Brussels.

Hotel was fine - and only noisy when the police went past with sirens blaring - only criticsm is that the wifi was not very good and hotel not really willing to help me get a refund

Comfortable, efficient, business-type hotel in a beautiful old building, only a few minutes' walk from the Gare du Nord. Good continental buffet breakfast; no restaurant for main meals but several nearby.

got a v good rate (79 Euros), very central just next to central station and grand market. Staff v helpful, turned up early 11:30, after long trip and they let me into a room early for a shower.Room clean (small) and had balcony.

My room was probably one of the worst in the hotel....it seems in Brussels they aword the stars by themselves...Nice hotel for a 3 stars...but I was expecting a 4 stars hotel!
