Personel did not speak English. There was problems to pay - they could not have proper nominals to give me the rest, I had to change the money in shop near the hotel. I also opened not my room by my keys.

Budget travelers. I traveled with my wife. daughter and son-in-law. The Hotel De La Ville Naples is conveniently located close to cafes, buses, train and metro. Neighborhood is a bit scary looking, but we were never threatened in any way.

The hotel and the room was OK, but the handbag of my girlfriend was stolen right in front of the entrance of the hotel. The car was two meters away from the hotel, when a man came with a motorbike. I was just searching something inside the car and didn't see the robbery. The street of the hotel is dangerous because of robbery.

Naples is shady to begin with, so the Hotel De La Ville Naples, considering the city itself, was a good experience. The pluses are that it is within five minutes walking distance of train station, excellent staff service, very good breakfast (excellent coffee!) and helpful owner. Drawbacks are that because you are so close to the train station, people around there are somewhat shady and I would not venture outside the hotel after dark. Area also seems gritty, but I guess the whole city looks like that so the hotel was a plus in the sea of dinginess. We were there only one night en route to Positano, so the whole circumvesuviana/train station experience was somewhat dismal for two female travellers. Hotel stay was good though, and there is a bar on the corner right outside the train station and on the was to the hotel where we bought a feast of spaguetti with mussels, mushrooms all'allio, potatoes, margherita pizza and a bottle of red wine for 26 euros. We took this meal to the hotel and the experience was great. Would recommend this hotel.

A clean and despite the very central location, quiet hotel for rooms out the back. Rooms are of sufficient size and are equipped with a safe / strong box The breakfast could be improved if only the waiter on duty would show more interest in his work but if asked, he would refill the milk and replenish things which have run out (joghurt, rolls etc) durimng the breakfast time. The only drawback of the hotel is that returning after midnight is not a very safe proposition due to the closeness to the central station with prostitution all around. Before midnight it's perfectly OK and safe (As safe as it can be in Naples as a whole). Very easy access to the train station, ALI bus to the airport and lot's of public transport options.

TheSign of Hotel Delle Nazioni tells that it's a 3 star hotel. The raiting according to us is 2+ as our room contained only the beds, one table and one chair. Another chair would have been needed as well as a reck for the suitcase. Then the hotel could be a 3- star hotel. The breakfast was all right according to Italian specifications, I guess. We didn't notice any shortages but we were always already at 7 in the breakfast room. Both the room and the bathroom were very clean all the time (we stayed 3 nights). The location of the hotel is excellent; 10 min walk from Napoli Centrale and 15 min walk to Stazione Circumvesuviana (trains to Vesiuvius, Pompeii and Herculaneum = Scavi Ercolano). 30 min walk to Museo Archeologico Nazionale (a must if visiting Pompeii and/or Herculaneum), 20 min walk to Spaccanapoli (small work shops etc) and 15 min walk to Duomo di Napoli. Napoli seemed to be a very nice place and not at all as bad as its reputation is.

The hotel is in an ideal location for transport links. The area is quite at night-time, though the room wasnt so quite because of neigbouring rooms and noise travelling up from the reception. The twinroom was fine; well equiped, and clean as was the en suite. But would be a squeeze for two. Breakfast is frugal, and quick. All in all, worth a revisit.

Our hotel visit was very pleasant, but we had quite a bit of difficulty finding the hotel. It is only a few blocks off of the Piazza, but when we asked for directions, either people didn't know where the hotel was or we got different directions. But we eventually found the hotel and the staff was very welcoming.

un pò difficile da trovare ma tutto sommato un buon albergo. L'unica pecca è che la sera la zona non è una delle migliori. Il garage convenzionato è poco distante ed è l'unico modo per tenere la propria auto al sicuro

Naples is a very loud and dirty city. To enter the hotel was like enter an eden. The surroundings close to the railwaystation is good for traveling in and outside of Naples, but of course also very dirty. The hotel is superb. Good breakfast. Clean room and the staff knows what you need to know about Pompeii.

Hotel is located in the slightly unsavoury central station area, but at least it's convenient if you arrive by train. The hotel was reasonably easy to find with the map given, and the rooms and central areas were all clean and tidy. The bathroom was also clean, although the shower was tiny. The only real negative was the guy on reception when we arrived. He had a girlfriend or someone there he was chatting to and he made us feel we were a real inconvenience to him by making him actually get up and give us our keys etc. Other than that, our stay was fine.

One of the staff told me: "I don't speak English", and he was on the phone all the time. The cleaning lady didn't come to my room and did her job. The boss of the hotel didn't do anything to this. We were very disappointed with the service.
