Hotel personnel were very nice, friendly, respectful, and accommodating. The hotel is just 10 minutes walk to the grotto. That is a plus. I'd recommend the Hotel De La Vallee Lourdes to anyone visiting Lourdes.

After arriving in the city, the hotel took one hour to find: directions listed at Venere are useless and even with google maps and stopping three times and getting assistance (en francais), we finally came upon it haphazardly; two main problems are the street names are not posted and many streets are one-way and according to the hotel personnel one-way directions often change every two weeks. So don't count on a map to find this place; insist on precise directions with landmarks and traffic lights indicaated. On our first night only the menu @16 euros (with no choices) was offered in the restaurant. The next night, the personnel allowed substitutions and a la carte ordering. We had a great duck confit dinner for our 16 euros that night. Personnel are excellent and go out of their way to assist.

This is the first time to visit Lourdes for my husband and myself, therefore we followed people’s feedback in Venere.com. Thank you for your reviews!! The hotel, Citotel de la Vallee, was right choice for us. Very friendly and helpful staff made cozy atmosphere. Our room #36 was spacious at wonderful price. The hotel was situated center of the old Lourdes, middle of the tourist part and the modern city part. In other words the hotel kept good distance from many of neon-light advertisement around the sanctuary and we enjoyed its tranquility. It takes you 10 minutes by walk to / from sanctuary including long slope. It might easy to walk for healthy people but I sometime had to take a rest at mid of the slope- and found good café. Thank you Mother Maria! We took rest and breakfast at the café as the hotel breakfast costs 9.00 euro/p.p. was bit expensive for us. We did not use hotel restaurant for dinner too as it was busy with groups every night. The staff’s recommended restaurant, Alexandra, just 2 minutes walking distance, was GREAT! We enjoyed their fixed menu12.50 euro for fantastic French dinner everynight.

Hotel Citotel is strategically located - its just a 10 minutes walk to the sanctuary, which was my main aim during my visit to Lourdes. The staff were very warm and friendly. I felt safe and secure even though I travelled alone. Though the alleyway to the rooms was narrow, but my room was nice and was facing the mountainside which was just perfect for me. I highly recommend the Hotel De La Vallee Lourdes to single travellers and mature couples. Well Done.

My husband and I stayed here in Oct 2007 and it was lovely. The staff were very helpful and there was enclosed parking which was great. The hotel was easy to find with the GPS and we could walk anywhere from the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay in the Hotel De La Vallee Lourdes. The place is really quite right in terms of location. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the grotte. The place is between the town center and the grotte that allows us to approach the hotel from different venues. The staff is superb and were very accomodating inspite of last minute notice for breakfast reservations. The managers and associates were very people friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others and I would definitely come back to stay on my next trip.

the staff is friendly and very, very helpful. our welcome was very warm and their service was perfect all over our visit. the staff is more than just helping, they were interested in making our visit comfortable and enjoying. the rooms are spacious and bright. everything was working and very clean. the distance to the holy district is about 7 minutes walking, for all healthy people its a piece of cake. the hotel is just between the pilgrim-tourist part of the city and the modern part of lourdes. for us it was the perfect hotel and we will book the Hotel De La Vallee Lourdes for our next trip to lourdes for sure.

While the center of Lordes is rather noizy, the hotel is lacated at a quiet zone. Nevertheless, the distance to the sanctual area is moderate for walking. The town map they gave us was in black and white, which would be preferably colored. The employees are very kind. It was rather difficult to find the hotel place, when we reached there by car.

Overall, we would love to come back to the Hotel De La Vallee Lourdes. We got a handicapped room, which is normal considering people that are coming to this city, but still kind of awkward for us. It is nice and clean, comfortable, good service, nice location. It is quite too - the only hotel where we woke up at 9AM during our recent trip.
