The Hotel de Gerstekorrel has a fabulous location, on the edge of Dam Square & just outside the Red Light District. It's pretty much as central as you can get in Amsterdam & ideal for seeing the sights.On the street outside the hotel are plenty of restaurants, bars & a fabulous bakery - so don't worry about the hotel not having a restaurant.........It's a good place to stay if you're looking for 'no Frills' accomodation, which is clean, comfortable & reasonably priced with friendly & helpfull staff.

Room was large and beds were not the most comfortable. The bathroom was very small and got the job done. Located right next door to an awesome bakery. (best part of hotel)

Long weekend stay at the Hotel De GerstekorrelMy room was very Dutch (long and narrow) and fairly basic. However, the staff were friendly and helpful and the Hotel is right on the edge of Dam Square and is ideally situated for trip around the city

Great hotel, great location - perfect for groups looking for somewhere cheap to stay in the centre of Amsterdam. Rooms were clean and tidy, staff very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is in a great position. it is walkin distance to all the major attractions.10 mins from Centraal Station on foot.We had a quad room which was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the linen clean.Clean towels left every day.I would recomend this hotel to anyone.
