Great Value for Money - Close to Eurostar but not in centre of BrusselsExcellent value for money hotel close to the Eurostar but you'll need a 15 minute walk to the nearest metro stop and then get the underground to the centre of Brussels. You could get a tram, but good luck figuring out how!

Good price , very good breakfast ,friendly and helpfull staff. 3 km. from the center but by car and with Navigation system you can see all the tourist atraction.

Nice hotel basic and friendlyNice hotel, great customer service, only downside was that you could smell ciggarette smoke in the room and the walls were quite thin so you could hear the next person snoring.Overall a pleasent stay.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was light and airy. The bedrooms were quite big and the beds comfy. The buffet breakfast was well stocked and fresh. The hotel is a little way from the centre so either taxis or buses are required, unless you have time and energy for a fair walk. Overall excelent value.

Reasonable except the locationThe location of the hotel is really not good. 15 minutes of walk from Gare du Midi along streets with heavy traffic. Bus connection to the downtown slow and long (about 30 minutes). Rooms updated, corridors and lift smelly and outdated. Breakfast OK, but nothing to write home about. Because of the location would not stay there again. If you have the car with you, it might be better.

The stylish reception area gives the impression of a modern boutique hotel. Beyond the reception area is a very different experience. The doors inside the lift are scratched and need painting. The corridor to the rooms smelt of cigarettes. The room was clean but did not match the quality of the reception area.When I arrived the man on duty at reception was extremely pleasant and helpful. Later on, another man had taken over and when I asked him for a glass of wine from the bar he would only sell me a whole bottle. When I asked him why, he merely repeated that I could only have a whole bottle. I have never come across such a ridiculous policy before.

Very friendly and welcoming hotel and very helpful staff. One could not fault the service. The room was very comfortable but there was a continuous leak in the WC cistern which was quite noisy. Although I mentioned it to the receptionist nothing was done but that's probably because it was a weekend. Slightly further from the centre of Brussels than we'd hoped, but since we had our car with us it was not a major problem. We'd certainly go back there and recommend it to friends.

excellent memorable stay, lovely staffone thing that makes this hotel stand out is the efficient staff. the room was clean and tidy. we had no problems commuting to the city centre. will definitely recommend it.

Some people comment on the localization of the hotel, it is in fact not in a central place but you can take the 48 bus really nearby to take you to the Grand Place (Bourst station). It takes about 15-20 min. You can also take that bus and get out in Port Haal (about 5 minutes) and there you have the metro. The zone of the hotel is a residential zone, I arrived around 23:30 in the night and didn't feel insecure.

The hotel is very well situated for the Forest National Concert Venue and the Gare du Midi, which was ideal for me as I was attending a concert overnight and catching the first Eurostar back in the morning . Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the hotel was comfortable. Some other reviewers have expressed reservations about the area, especially if a lone female traveller. I had no reservations of this sort, the area has a good cultural mix that can be found in any city and is comparable to the area of London that I live in.I'd be happy to recommend this hotel.

I have read other reviews about the Hotel de Fierlant and the area where it is located. I found the hotel to be excellent in every respect, especially for the price, The neighborhood is quiet and completely safe (a largely Islamic area). If there is a slight problem, it might be getting a taxi promptly.

Although the Hotel de Fierlant is not located in a particularly nice area, the Hotel itself makes up for it. It's basic but the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
