I stayed at this hotel October last year. I am 13 and went with my dad who is 42. The room was basic. Very basic. Good points: -The breakfast buffet wasn't busy. -Very clean. -Comfy. -At the reception desk, they spoke fairly good English, so was able to ask for things such as a plug adapter thing. -It was away from the centre of the city.So it would have been even noisier in the centre. It was near Bastille, which you can hop on the tour bus down the road and it will take you there.Around Bercy there were a few shops and a few restaurants. We didn't stay there much because we came to sight see, not stay in that small town. Bad points: -The rooms were small, and could of done with some refurbishment, like the wood strips on the ceiling aged it alot. -Yes, it was noisy because you could hear traffic and trains. Your in Paris..its not going to be quiet .When you close the window, it shuts away all the noise.Yeah, you can still hear some traffic, but windows don't often close out all sound. -Unless you are French, you will find there not much to do in the evening back at the hotel. The tv was all in French except one English channel which was the news. They could have made a bit more of an effort I thought. -They do not supply the bathroom with shower gel or shampoo or anything, however they give you two plastic cups and a soap. -Our room was cleaned every day and the beds were made, towels were changed etc. The only thing, is that you have to put away valuables, just to be safe from a noisy maid. lol. I had the buffet breakfast every morning. It wasn't bad, just a bit basic. The kitchen staff kept coming out with fresh croissants which was nice. There were orange juice and water and things but my dad said the coffee out of the machine was bad. Powdered milk. I didn't have any dinner at this hotel, there is a nice restaurant in Bastille called Hipopotamus. Its lovely there, sells like steak and chicken and things. Nice inside. Overall this hotel had the facilities we needed to get us through our time. It was a 3* hotel and thats all it was. If you want luxury then pay more for a better hotel.I wouldn't return just for one reason. Next time, we want to be in central Paris so we can just walk around and walk to restaurants etc. But yes, this hotel is good.

Overall, it was a good deal taking into account the price paid. Staff at the Reception were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was however too basic.

I am from Croatia and I was there (in the hotel) last week on the concert of Pink and let me say that I am glad that I choose your hotel. It was very good experiance, the hotel is very close to Metro and it has very good connection with the center of Paris and all attractions, museums and all that Paris has to offer.

Another great stay at the Claret! We have stayed at the Claret Hotel three times in the last 12 months and have enjoyed it immensely each time. The staff are always extremely helpful, friendly and polite, nothing is too much trouble for them. They are currently updating the hotel, so there is some building work going on, but it's only during the daytime so no early starts with the hammers and drills :-) and it didn't impact on our stay at all (in fact the builders were very helpful with a hacksaw when we needed a cardboard tube cutting down to transport a poster in!). The rooms are quite small but always clean and tidy, there is a Metro stop right outside the door and the journey from Charles de Gaulle is very easy, as the hotel is less than a five minute walk from Gare de Lyon. The cost of the hotel obviously depends on the Euro/Sterling exchange rate ie it was cheaper when we stayed there last year than this time around as they charge in Euros per night, however compared to the other hotels in the same area (Novotel, All Seasons) the hotel is very good value for money.I would definitely recommend this hotel - it's small but cosy! I'm looking forward to our next stay there already.

I was taking my 11 year old grandson to the BNP Paribas Masters Tennis Tournament at Bercy, so wanted something friendly and not impersonal as it was his first visit both to Paris and to a hotel. He was absolutely delighted with his stay. We had a very attractive room at the rear of the hotel (which is what I'd asked for) and the bathroom was a decent size.On the morning of the last day of the tournament, I checked out and asked if we could leave our luggage until after the final. It was absolutely no problem for them and our bags were kept under lock and key for the whole day. We were always very well received at reception and found all the other staff very friendly, not at all intimidating for an 11 year old boy. Thank you.

Compact but characterful room - a bit too close to a busy road but the really genuine friendly service from the reception and restaurant staff made it a pleasurable stay.

Very professional and friendly staff. Nice little hotel in Bercy, 2 minutes walk from the Underground and Stadium (we went to a concert there on the second night). Great location, we stayed here and used the underground to get around, Bercy is very nice with the park located minutes away. The hotel staff were only too happy to help and directions are no problem with staff marking maps for us and telling us where the best places to eat were. Lovely little rooms, small but comfortable enough to use as a base. Very pleasant stay.

This is a really good hotel if you want to stay somewhere on a budget that is safe, clean and welcoming. The breakfast wouldn't feed a flea but provides basic cereals and some quite yummy pastries. The room was clean and quite spacious for Paris. We found it was very easy to jump on the subway outside to reach Paris centre (5 mins away) and also connections to Disneyland. The surrounding area is safe although i wouldn't recommend to those with small children as the steps were steep, breakfast no good for children, and its quite a small hotel. Ive also stayed at the Explorers Hotel in Disneyland which is cheap out of season and fantastic for kids.

Excellent, friendly hotel - always stay there when working in Paris. Very convenient for Line 14 into the centre.

Friendly service. Room overlooking garden reasonably quiet considering proximity to railway. Main drawback lack of air conditioning or proper shower. Ideal for weekend but room too small for a longer stay.

Food excellent and lovely rooms full of character. Avoid the ones overlooking the railway station though as it can be noisy. All friendly and helpful and very conveniently placed for the fast Line 14 into the centre.

Excellent rapport qualité/prix, et grand confort pour un 3 étoiles. Accueil parfait, équipe très serviable, buffet de petit déjeuner copieux et varié, chambre spacieuse. Un excellent séjour.
