Cammerpoorte, AntwerpOn the positive side, the Cammerporte is very much central, a short walk to the old town area, has parking next door for €15/night, has a bar in-house and next door, the breakfast room on the 1st floor is like an office canteen with a nice view over the busy street outside and the one staff person per shift that I met in 48 hours was very helpful.On the negative side, the hotel is run down. I'm glad I was travelling alone. At €70/night I'd apportion 50% of that to the location and the balance to the actual accomodation. For another €30 maybe there'd be batteries in the TV remote control but at least the wife would be happy!Will I return - maybe.

Good hotel staff, breakfast was very good. Good location, close to major tourist locations in Antwerp. But rooms were not too comfortable, you could hear noise from neighboring rooms

The Camerpoort Hotel is located at a very strategic point, close to the train station and the Historical District , and just a few blocks away from the port, where a lot of people go to the bars and cafes. Though not beautifull, rooms are clean and the price is reasonable. The included breakfast is nothing to brag about, and the restaurant seems OK but I didn't try it.
