Staying at the BlakeMy partner and I stayed for 7 nights in May 09 - the hotel was in a perfect (and safe) location (in the Loop - and within walking distance of the lakefront and downtown)- and we were pleased with the standard of accommodation. The room was large and clean - and had all the facilities we needed. I would recommend this hotel.

It was a great location for the 4th of July holiday. We were there for the Taste of Chicago. We did the boat tour, shopping on State Street and Water Tower which we walked to. We did the bike tour and bus tour. We also rode the El train and city bus which were all in walking distance. We went to a jazz club which was around the corner that had great music. What would have made our stay in the Hotel Blake more enjoyable if they had a fridge. We were surprised that as nice as the hotel was there was not anywhere for us to put our beverages. They even had the internet to use in the lobby which was great but no fridge.

The business center; the restaurant, the location. The arrangement for continental breakfast.

Hotel location was great. Staff all very friendly and accomodating. We had reserved a 2-queen room, but these were all taken by the time we arrived. We were given a nice 1-king + sofa-bed instead which turned out to be very nice for 3 people. Room was setup for only two people and we had to ask for an extra set of towels when we checked in and again when the room was cleaned after the 1st night stay. Shampoo/conditioner provided is not very good. Leaves hair feeling like straw. Very quiet room and comfortable bed for a good nights sleep :-)

I did not like the fact that we did not have a refrigerator.

Location was great. Nothing really negative.

This is a very classic hotel walking distance to the metro train and many tourist destinations, such as the Adler Planetarium, Grant Park, and the Aquarium. It's a bit further to the Navy Pier, but there are great hop on/hop off tour buses to get around on.

Nothing. No room forme the first night. The hotel did not give me a room the first night.

What I like about Hotel Blake was its location. It is located near south loop (2 blocks from the Chicago rail system)and you can get to almost anywhere by bus or train (CTA) system. But if you are driving, it will cost a lot for parking. Overall, I had a good stay in Chicago.

Nicely updated and nice appeal. Served continental breakfast with only lounge seating. Hotel was nicely appointed, clean and convenient to the visitor sites of Chicago.

concierge very knowledgable, all staff very helpful with directions and suggested activities. free wi-fi great for looking up local events/restaurant reviews. all requests were quickly fulfilled. Housekeeping staff efficeint. If you are driving to the city, just know up front the valet parking is $39 a night. which is a bargain compared to other hotels @ $50 and we didn't find any garages more reasonable in the vicinity.

The feel was clean and modern. Their was no mini bar not vending machines. The location of the hotel was very convenient and the accommodations were very comfortable.

Extremely clean & well kept. Kind of disapointed that the hotel restaurant did not offer a weekend brunch. Continental breakfast was "okay" I've had way better & cheaper palces, perhaps the economy has made them cut back here. Would stay here again mainly b/c its away from all the hustle & bustle of The Mile & it made for some romantic nights!

Very friendly staff. Room close to the street was very noisy and there was not adequate lighting in the room.

We were very happy with the location and the friendly staff. They were most helful with resverations for resturants and bus service. The Bell Hop was super. What a great personality, so helpful. We were attending the Blues Fest.. which was at Grant Park and walkable. It seems everything was walkable! We visited every museum in town, and also went to a play. The only negative was the resturants were not too close. Our room was large enough with very comfy bed. Cleaned every day, with pleasant maids. All in all we would visit again and enjoyed Chicago so much!!

I had an incredible and spacious room - and it was spotless. The wireless internet service (complimentary) was spotty. The Hotel Blakeexceeded my expectations. I had a very spacious and well appointed room with a giant marble bathroom. Although there was no bathtub, there was a large shower. Wireless internet service is complimentary but service can be spotty at times. The complimentary breakfast buffet for all guests is a nice touch. The front desk staff was helpful, as were the doormen and bellmen, without acting like they were fishing for tips. All in all, a well-run hotel.

The hotel was nice overall, the staff were efficient and it was reasonably priced! The breakfast was complimentary but not very good.

I appreciated the large size of the rooms and the bathroom. The breakfast was limited. They put out what they had and when it was gone they did not replenish it. We enjoyed out stay, it was a great location, very helpful staff, great large room, very flexible in the kind of bed that we received since we needed two queens and were uncertain if we ordered if we would receive our request.

My boyfriend & I went for the Blues Festival, which was at Grant Park (a 3 minute walk). The Buckingham Fountain was right on our way- gorgeous! We were able to do so much since everything was so close.
