Description:
Enjoy first class accommodations and dining in our Historic Downtown location convenient to numerous Corporate Parks, Universities, Hospitals and cultural venues. You'll find us in the heart of the Lehigh Valley, just minutes from Allentown and Easton, Pennsylvania, Lehigh University, Moravian College, and a 10 minute drive from the Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE). We are conveniently located in the historic district that surrounds our hotel in Bethlehem. Embrace our beautifully decorated and newly renovated historic Bethlehem hotel. Come experience world-class service, charming guest accommodations, elegantly appointed lobby and common areas, beautiful yet efficient banquet and meeting facilities, and award winning cuisine. We proudly continue the tradition of Bethlehem hospitality that began by the Moravians who first settled here in 1741. Come experience this hospitality at our Historic Hotel Bethlehem. Restored to its original 1922 grandeur, Historic Hotel Bethlehem's floor-to-ceiling palladium windows provide dramatic views of the historic shopping district just outside our front doors. Seven large murals, painted by George Gray and hung in the Colonnade Steakhouse since 1937, retell the history of Bethlehem. In particular, the story of how Count Zinzendorf and other early settlers met on Christmas Eve in 1741 in a crude cabin on the site now occupied by the hotel, and named the city of Bethlehem, emblazons an entire wall.

I attended a weekend musicfest at the Zoellner Arts center at Lehigh University. It was a pleasure having their shuttle drop me off at the theatre both Saturday and Sunday mornings. The hotel was everything I expected: a historic hotel, wonderful lobby/bar area, very comfortable, top-notch service.

The historical aspects of the hotel and the location. Check in staff was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. This was a nice historic hotel in downtown Bethlehem. There were a lot of great photos and history of the hotel in the public areas. Rooms and bathrooms were small, but that was part of the charm. The check-in staff was very stiff and indifferent. No greeting other than "Do you have a reservation?". I was handed the keys without a word. No helpful information on parking, elevators, hotel features. We parked out front in a temporary spot. The bellman was standing right next to us at the front desk as we checked in, and there was no offer to help with luggage. He didn't even acknowledge that we were there, two feet away. Not a 3.5 star service experience!

We stayed at the Hotel Bethlehem due to a wedding nearby. My wife loves historic hotels and we were pleased at the charm and detail that this gem has received recently. The room was warm and inviting and bathroom was absolutely stunning with it's historic flair and marble accents. We ventured out on Main Street prior to the church service and were thrilled with the shops, galleries and other eateries nearby. If you visit here, be sure to explore the Moravian Book Store...it's beyond belief...just FANTASTIC. We reside about 2 hours away and look forward to finding an excuse to come to the HOtel Bethlehem again.

We've stayed at this hotel a few times, since we annually travel to Bethlehem. Its usually great, rooms are a bit small, but stylish and clean. This was the first stay however, where we didn't have any hot water one morning.

"The hotel could not find my reservation then i showed the young snippy girl my reservation ,we stood there for about 10/15 minutes.she finaly gave us a room key.the ninth floor, last room of the hotel ! i booked the date in March & was treated rudely. We rushed to a wedding in Allentown, made it there the bride was waiting for us to be seated then the wedding started. Other service @ hotel was nice & helpful. The reception there was very organized. But because of the check in experience and a tray of food in the hall from the time we checked in to check out i would not return to hotel."

Hotel was very busy as it is a prime spot for weddings in the area (and our floor was very loud to do all the weddind guests). The reception at the hotel was wonderful, very friendly. The room was very clean and kept at a good temperature. Bathroom was gorgeous. The noise from the room was pretty bad, could hear our rowdy neighbors and the ice maker being used down the hall way at all hours. The Tap Room was amazing, the chesseburger was wonderful. The elevator situation, however, was less then amazing. There are only two for the entire hotel (or at least for the guests) and the steps past the 3rd floor must be hidden since we had no luck finding them. At least there were chairs by the elevator for our 10 minute wait until the moving box met us on our floor (we stayed on the 7th floor). But besides the elevator chaos, my husband I enjoyed our stay and with the great location and friendly staff we will be sure to return again in the future.

I felt very unsafe due to this hotel's location. It was very dark and decrepit looking. The rooms were tiny and the bathrooms were even smaller. I was very unhappy here and would not stay here again.

The hotel Bethlehem a very family friendly and pet friendly hotel, the standard room is little small, but has every thing we need. The King suite(on 9th floor)is huge, has a best view during day and night time, every night we can see Moravian star on top of the hill. The hotel offers free shultter service, free parking, free internet servie and a free tour around the area. Sunday Brunch in 1741 on the Terrace was wonderful. Good location, easy to get on the high way.one or two blocks to the stores and restaurants.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this hotel with beautiful furnishings and a marble bathroom. The room was smaller than most of the chain hotels, but the old style and decor were enjoyable for our short stay.

Right in downtown within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The rooms were appointed well but a little small with a king bed in it.

The Historic Hotel Bethlehem was comfortable and clean. The rooms were an adequate size and were quiet. The only negative thing we found was the bathroom. The bathroom was small and the water pressure in the shower was very low. We enjoyed our stay there and would return.
