Great hotel - I booked a single room, which was a double for single occupancy. The hotel is on a quiet road, just off the main Bavariaring and is in a very civilised location. It is extremely handy for the Octoberfest site, and also for the train station. I was in Munich for work in the centre, and it was only a 15 minute walk which was perfect :) The breakfast was lovely, and the patio is great - you can sit out on the decking and have your morning coffee. The minibar is wellstocked, and reasonably priced. The bathroom in my room was brand new, nice and shiny fixtures and fittings :) The only thing was an absence of coffee making facilities, but you can get a latte (etc) in the hotel bar for 3euros so not a problem :) We will definitely stay here again.

A bit out of the way in comparison to more centrally located hotels. I will try for closer to the train station next time I'm in Munich.

Hotel bavaria is a location in the best of taste. The rooms are spacious, clean and newly renovated. At the breakfast buffet you will find everything you might wish to eat in the morning. You can enjoy you meal at an outdoor place, with the spirit of a zen-garden. Just 50 m down the street, you'll find Theresien Wiese, where the famous Oktoberfest takes place. Just a few minutes to Central Station and to pedestrian area. Don't hesitate: choose Hotel Bavaria for your stay in Munich. I'll certainly do the next time I'll be in Munich.

Excellent, clean, new hotel with good service. A very reasonably priced. Parking can be tricky but there is a garage opposite the hotel. All in all, a very good choice.

Super staff! They were very helpful and the service in the bar and at breakfast was top notch. The Hotel Bavaria Munchen is about a 20 minute walk from the Marienplatz, but relative close to the 19 Strassenbahn line and the U. Easy to get to from the airport S train, but get off at Hackerbrucken instead of Hauptbahnhof and you can walk directly to the hotel. For a hotel in a major city ... it was a great value.

I was absolutely happy with Hotel Bavaria's choice. The location is great, 5 minutes walk from the underground, 1 stop from the Hauptbanhof, i.e. full city center. The personnel is great, careful and supportive. Clean and comfortable double room, quite good breakfast, and a more than honest price. There's not a single bit out of place, and I recommend Bavaria Hotel to everybody, for business or leisure. And if you go to the Oktoberfest, it's placed right in front of Theresienwiese (the fest area)!

Outside Oktoberfest period, the Hotel Bavaria Munchen is a ocean of tranquility being still very close to the main site where they have fairs (I was there a little before Christmas) and of course Oktoberfest. The hotel is quite modern, has a nice bar but no restaurant. The closest restaurants aren't very fancy and specially at weekends there's not much around there. The shopping closeby is nice but to get to the real action, you should catch the metro or walk around 15 minutes to get to Karlstor and train station where fun starts. The fair close by also gives you many options but it's crowded and of course only has fast food. All in all I would return there as I appreciate after a nice beer party, to have a good night rest!!

We were very pleased with the rooms offered by the Hotel Bavaria. The furnishings were top notch and the bathroom was very stylish and modern. The staff were very friendly and competent. The breakfast room and the breakfast buffet were very nice. I would have enjoyed using the outdoor patio area offered by the hotel but unfortunately the weather did not co-operate. The hotel is very close to the Octoberfest grounds and would be an excellent choice for someone travelling to Munich to attend Octoberfest. It is a good 20 minute walk at a good pace to the pedestrian zone and Marienplatz. Public transit is available close to the hotel if you do not care to walk to Marienplatz. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and felt we received very good value for our money.
