This was great value for money and given that my only requirement was a bed it was ideal. On arrival the hotel appeared to be closed with nobody to be seen. Once I found the entrance (overgrown, so not clear) I entered the gloomy reception/bar area. I was served by owners daughter(?) who had to make a phone call for every question i asked. The hotel wanted me to pay on arrival but would only take cash. This was an inconvenience because i did not have it to hand. However they were happy to wait for it. The room was accessed from outside. As far as i could assess all rooms were like this. The room was basic but very clean and serviced daily. The bar/lounge area appeared to be unused and the staff were nowhere to be seen. In all a very strange place, a bit like the motels seen on many American films.

The Hotel is very hard to locate - maps are not clear and the hotel is not well indicated at all from the main road. There is a great deal of traffic noise.

My family would NEVER return to Coin Vert! The proprietor is rude, unfriendly and has an extremely short fuse! We arrived about 7pm, 2 hours later than our scheduled arrival time. The rooms WERE NOT READY! We were asked to come back in an hour…not a pleasant request after an arduous drive. The hotel is a mishmash of furnishings, but it is clean. The major drawback is the owner…ungracious, angry and generally unpleasant! NEVER AGAIN will we allow ourselves to be treated to such outbursts!
