Extremely disappointed with accommodation-website is misleadingOn arrival at the above hotel, we discovered the room wasn't ready and when we were eventually escorted to it I was horrified, I have never seen a worse room in my life- grotty to say the least, small with no A/C and unbearably warm, tiny bed, no room to move and very old furnishings- I didn't even want to take my shoes off as it felt very dirty. I could just about fit myself in the 'bathroom'.The hotel is also only on one floor. I was prepared to pay for another hotel just to get out of there. Luckily when we complained we were allowed to move to another room which was much nicer and to a higher standard and I was much happier in the end- extreme difference in the two rooms so you could be lucky!Overall I felt the website was misleading (photos etc) and I wouldn't recommend staying there.

I don't mind if the room number is only on the inside of the room - thus not visible from the outside. This just make life more interesting when you mistakenly try to open the door next to yours and a tired man looks out suspicously. What I did not like was that you had to sit under the wash basin if you wanted to sit on the toilet. And to use the toilet without sitting was impossible, the wash basin was preventing you. And what I did not like was to get a room full of smoke, despite having asked for a non smoking room. And I did not like that you had to walk across the room in order to turn off the light. This was much more difficult when you were going to turn them on, to fumble in the dark looking for that button... On top of that, the room was full of dust and strange things which made you the impression that you were living in a storage room.However, all people working in the hotel were very friendly.

Originally we had booked (via laterooms.com) 2 double rooms; we found out upon arriving that there had been a "mistake" and that the only room available was one quadruple. This was a double bed plus a sofa bed and just one bathroom. However, the hotel did reduce the rate substantially and we were able to bring our dog. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. For example, they tracked down a restaurant and made reservations for us, and they arranged convenient street parking for us.
