The Hotel Apollon lies in a suburban location with a tram line immediately in front of the building, and a stop about 200m away. Line 9 takes you straight to Wenceslas Square. A three day tram ticket for about £6 also includes buses and the Metro network. The Hotel has seen better days, with the carpet, in particular in need of replacement. My room was perfectly adequate, with a balcony overlooking a small garden to the rear of the premises. Breakfast was typically continental, but adequate. Staff could have been more helpful, but overall for a budget hotel the Apollon is hard to beat. I booked a 3 day package from England; inclusive of flights and 3 nights B&B accommodation the price was £99; no complaints at that price!

First impact...bad. The pink/white wall of the tiny reception, dirty marbles on the floor, holes in the carpets, elevator without protection doors, our bathroom without cold water in the washbasin...I was very disappointed...but I paid 15euros/night..what did I expect? The days after I appreciated how was easy to reach city centre with the tram from there and the abundant breakfast included in the price of the room.
