A very good base in the heart of Venice The management was helpful as we had a problem with the booking but I had to call few times to get it sort it out (however this is Italy and nothing is straight forward!), the stay was fun especially as we had to go back to our hotel in the evening with high water in S Marco square and it was a really magic experience. We asked for a room with few stairs for mobility problems and they tried to accomodate us at their best, our stay was enjoyable.

They never mention that there was no A/C and that the studio really is a double room apartment with a share living room with other people

Don't be put off by the old sign on the main streetI stay in Venice regularly on business and this hotel is well located for tourists although the sign at the end of the alley doesn't tempt you in!Rooms are ok if a little bit old fashioned. Public areas are well cared for and staff are on the whole very good.

A welcoming and comfortable hotel.

Our room was smelly and HOT HOT HOT! They changed our room because the first had NO air conditioning (although hotel says is does). The second room was not much better. We needed a fan, and even then the room was hot, stale. We had also requested a wake-up call, never received the call and almost missed our train. When we said something at the front desk, the clerk's response was that it was that the night clerk wrote down that he made the call. (????)

This hotel is 2 blocks from St. Mark's cathedral. The location allows easy access to many main attractions as well as the boat port, yet lies on a tiny street that allows quiet. The rooms were spacious and clean, comfortable bed and bath. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Access to a computer was particularly helpful, at a reasonable price. Breakfast was delicious and sufficient, including delectable croissants and fresh bread. Reaching my room was a labarynthine journey, but once I learned the path, it was not a problem. I could not have wished for anything more, except to stay longer.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It is down a narrow side street. The first room they put us in opened onto an adjacent stove/kitchen for a restaurant, the second room was newly rennovated but the plumbing leaked so the bathroom flooded. When I advised them of the problem, they knew it flooded.

Hotel in an excellent location with reasonable facilities, let down by very limited and boring breakfast. It was not cheap.
