The Wifi doesn't really work and is not free. Rooms are very small, but it is always the case in this kind of hotels in Paris. In my opinion, it deserves more 2 stars than 3.

The hotel is situated at a boulevard and caused through the heavy traffic it is noisy during the day and even in the night. In spite of that we slept not too bad cause we were very tired from sightseeing. We had a room on the 4th floor, the room was clean but very small. Service at the hotel is very friendly, breakfast was ok too. The best of the hotel is the location (50 meters away from the subway/underground and gare de lest), opening 24hours and the cheap price. For having lunch or dinner we recommend the center of Paris, especially saint germain des pres.

The lift wasn't working but we were put in a 1st floor room(as we are in the older age bracket) and the receptionist offered to help me with my bag. Found the receptionist very helpful in giving us directions. A range of pamphlets was available at reception. We arrived early and bags were stored until checkin. Handy position to Gare Est and Metro and not far from Gare Nord.

Reception staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast room was extremely inadequate, 14 seats only in a hotel boasting 32 rooms, guests had to line up for breakfast. Breakfast was also disappointing and waitresses lacked any personality or friendliness. There was no satellite TV as advertised, if you didn't speak french you can forget about watching TV as the 4 channels available were in french. No bar fridge in room, rooms extremely small, housemaids do not knock before entering room, 2 mornings of my stay they let themselves into my room when my partner was undressed. Walls were not sound proof, we could hear people in next rooms and hallways, however, there was no noise from the street. Hotel is located in a not so nice part of Paris, I wouldn't stay there again nor would I recommend the hotel. 3 Stars is over-rated.

This is a budget hotel in the centre of Paris and is no more nor less than you would expect. Good location near Gare de L'est and Gare du Norde. Reception staff very helpful and friendly.

very clean, even if many things in the room seemed ready to come loose and fall apart; little space for taking breakfast that causes waiting interminable minutes; compensated by a very forthcoming personnel (more polite and more helpful than in Milan for instance). The price, however, is a little too high (almost 100 euros per one night); subway station behind the building: metro 4 will take you to Notre-Dame (Saint Michel station) in approximately 15 minutes. I would recommend you to speak a little bit of French! I would go back any time!

Very small rooms, especially for the price. Can easily stumble over things in the cramped space. Elevator was tiny and felt unsafe. Receptionist was business like, not friendly. Bathrooms are very very small. Barely enough space to stand up straight. Thankfully the room and hotel in general was reasonably clean. The hotel is a minutes walk to the metro and main line station Gare De L'Est so that was a huge plus. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores in the vicinity, so location wise a good choice. A decent choice if you are on a budget else avoidable.

The picture of the exterior of the hotel is misleading and the outlook was a far outcry from what is shown in the picture. You can not make any changes after arrival as unlike other hotels where credit card information is taken only during checkin, the card was charged upfront (to ensure that you cant leave). The rooms are not soundproof at all. Hotel staff was friendly though. The locality is dingy (not safe) and I would not recommend the area for single travelers. Most of the amenities mentioned on the website were missing in the hotel. I won't recommend it.

This was the worst 3 star hotel we have ever stayed. the room was very small. the corridors were very narrow. you can not turn in the shower. you can hear the customers "fart" in the toilet in the neighbouring room. Our birthday celebration in paris was a disaster. Everything was perfect in paris except the hotel choice. There were other 3 star hotels for 60€, but i chose the Hotel Alane Paris having expectetions to get a little bit better service. The breakfast was another disaster. We payed 3 days breakfast cost in advance. the breakfast room was in the cellar. there were no windows in breakfast room. It was a shame choosing this hotel.

My friends and I had a most enjoyable long weekend at the Hotel Alane Paris (there were 5 of us). The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The rooms were spotless. The only drawback is the the noise of the traffic, especially over the weekend, but we were so tired after exploring Paris it did not matter. We all recommend this hotel.

this was a very mediocre place. the rooms were clean, the staff were helpful, breakfast was not included in the price, the rooms were quiet once the window was closed, but if the window was open it was quite noisy, the aera isnt very nice, quite run down, but it is very close to gard du nord and gare d'est making it ideal for exploring the city using the metro.im not sure if i would stay here again. while the place itsself was fine, the aera its in is not.

A clean hotel offering good value. Staff were very nice and the location was close to the rail and underground system. Room comfort would greatly improve with air conditioning. It was good value and very clean. We will happily go again.

The hotel is located very near to gare du Nord, as well as gard d'est.Which is very helpful to have 2 of the main stations so close to the hotel. Easy walk to/from either stations. The hotel staff is very friendly, and more than willing to accomodate just bout any request. For one example we had to leave early in the morning, before the breakfast was to begin..the gentleman on duty still provided us with some danishes, along with brewing some fresh coffe as well as a latte. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area. The rooms are pretty small, but the value is very nice for location and friendliness of the staff.
