Great location. Simple but has the basic functionalities.

the tv dated from the early 1980s, our room was supposed to be a triple, but it was actually just a double with an extra bed thrown in it. it was difficult to take a shower as the bathroom was very small and some cowboy obviously renovated the room as the quality of the work done was very poor. otherwise, the location is good.

the only interesting thing is the location, and if you rent a bike, better other places so far.

hi i stayed here with a friend for one night in middle of january 2008. The location is excellent it has to be said. Howevr i would not recommend the Hotel Ajax Amsterdam for anyone with a walking problems or families with children as the stair are very very very steep. We has problem with our case ans we are in our early 20's. The rooms are basic nothing special breakfast was ok. For a one night stay i would recommend this hotel, i would recommend a longer stay only if you are ok with basic.

One cannot sit down on a toilet and close the door for privacy because the room is so ill-configured. Upon arrival, we had to put water on the floor and wipe it and black soot was all over the towel we used to clean the floor with. One day our room was not cleaned. The hotel is located on the second floor of a building. There is no elevator or lift in the hotel. The drapes in the room and bed linens looked like they had not been replaced or cleaned in years. If the Ajax is representative of a two star hotel, then we will never stay at a two star hotel again.

I will never again go there as well as I will not recommend to anyone to go in the Hotel Ajax Amsterdam. 1.paying in advance for the whole stay in the hotel. I came in the hotel, not in the red light district 2.price indicated was not price what I paid 3.no electricity in the hotel for the whole day 4.room in the rotten state 5.no light in the bathroom 6.once found room opened 7.tv set broken 8.no batteries in the remote controller of tv set 9.unpleasant guy at the reception desk 10.I have ask to speak with the hotel manager but he did not want to call for him Total overview: accomodation like in a stone age (cave environment)

this was the most disguisting place i have ever stayed. There was blood on the walls, the toilet paper and the shower were broken and i left the hotel absolotly covered in flea bites. Disguisting!! Internet said we got a free breakfast in the morning, didn't stick around to find out how bad that was too!!

Room 106 smelled of damp, in Sweden you wouldn´t be allowed to rent it out. But we got another room. We paid 150E /night x 5, and we know that the last days they charged 85E, so don´t book your rooms in advance, it´s more expensive

The hotel's location is excellent, the room was clean, however, we stayed in a 3-persons room that was actually a 2-persons room with an extra bed, thus it was too small, still, we had a great time!!

I really liked the location of the hotel. It was in the middle of the city centre and anything I wanted to do in Amsterdam was within walking distance from the hotel. The room I stayed was clean. The staff was really friendly and did everything they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I recommend the Hotel Ajax Amsterdam if you come to Amsterdam.

Arnaque.

Punto a favore: l'hotel e' centralissimo e tutto e' facilmente raggiugibile a piedi.

we were in the center of amsterdam! just two step to reach central station, clubs and pubs, restaurants,a street full of shops, clubs and red light district! Near the hotel, bus and tram stop for everywhere, we visited every museum without walking too much. Room and bathroom aren't so big, but all i have seen in amsterdam were small. Breakfast not so rich but not so bad, very good reception! Reception impeccabile.
