WE ARE PLANNING ON STAYING AT THE HORIZON IN OCTOBER OF THIS YEAR. OUR STAY IN AUGUST OF LAST YEAR WAS GREAT. THE ROOM WAS LARGE. CLEAN, GREAT MAID SERVICE, AND GOOD FOOD AT THE RESTAURANTS. THE SLOTS ARE REAL WINNERS. MY HUSBAND WAS ON CRUTCHES SO THE CABLE T. V. WAS REALLY GOOD FOR HIM. COME STAY AND HAVE THE BEST FOR LESS. YOU WON'T BE SORRY.

The Hotel was nice and clean, the rooms were spacious and quite. The Buffet was small and to expensive for what they had to offer. The food was good but, not a lot of choices. I would stay there again, and I would recommend this Hotel to my friends & family.

Great room! Valet parking returned our new car with bird droppings all over it! Hotel was good, great room. There was difficulty in valet parking.

The hotel is far away from the other casinos. The hotel staff could use some customer service skills but were not awful. The have free valet parking but finding the valet and trusting them was a little hard for me to do. The hotel has seen better days but is not that bad. I got a non smoking floor however as soon as I opened the door you could smell the cigarettes. I went ahead and stayed in this room since I did not feel like lugging all my luggage downstairs another time. Overall it was ok but I think I might stay at a different casino if I ever go again.

we enjoyed our two-night stay at the horizon-- the lobby areas are beautifully decorated and the room was comfortable--the only little issue we encountered was that our room was not cleaned after our first night--we called for clean towels and promptly received them, but when in a hotel, I surely expect not to have to make up the bed and wash the coffee mugs--this, however, would not prevent us from staying at the horizon again, and I have since recommended it to several friends and family members

Loved the room. Very clean and staff very nice. However we had the dinner buffet and the food was not very good. Not much selection and some of the food was not labeled and you could not even tell what it was. We maybe should have tried the sports bar and the food would have been better. We ate at 6:00 pm so the time shouldn't have made a difference. Will stay here again but eat somewhere else. Ate breakfast down the street at the Ameristar Casino and they had an awesome breakfast buffet for 5.99. The foods that they were putting out for the lunch buffet looked awesome too. I would recomend eating there if you are looking for a good reasonable place to eat. But we loved our room and the staff were all very nice.

The hotel staff was very courteous and check in was quick and efficient. The room was very clean and comfortable. When staying at a casino hotel, we usually eat at the buffet. The Market Buffet offered a good variety of choices and the food quality was quite good. I would definitely stay at the Horizon again. THe casino is a nice size with a plenty of gaming choices; while the stay was very pleasant you can't bank on a jackpot!
