Description:This Homestead property is conveniently located approximately three miles from the San Antonio International Airport and 10 miles from downtown San Antonio. The hotel specializes in extended-stay itineraries and thus provides on-site laundry facilities and provides dry cleaning service. Wanted a quick and inexpensive get-away for 4th of July; since the rains were inundating the area. The travel website identified this site as good value. Indeed, it is one of those hidden treasures. There was only one hiccup in my experience. In my first room, the tiolet "whistled". Called front desk, they immeditedly offered to send someone up to fix and/or change rooms. I opted to change room. Second room was freshly painted and perfect. Front desk later called to check on me--to see if everything okay or needed, and offer a wake-up call. Please excuse the grammer but "if that ain't service...fat meat ain't greasy". You get my drift. In the end, an overall GREAT VALUE!

This hotel was conveniently located and was simple, yet had all I needed for my stay. A clean room with high speed internet. A bonus with the small kitchen and refrigerator.

This hotel is excellent value for the money. Rooms are small but clean. You only have housekeeping once a week but you can get supplies when you call the office. Quiet and close to restaurants.

Located close to the airport, very decent room for one occupant on business. Not very suitable for leisure travelers as it is far from the city and there was big space crunch in the room.

The hotel was GREAT considering the price. It was clean, quiet, easily accessible, if we were to do an extended stay, it would be our choice

It was in a relatively safe area and very quiet. We were coming from Sea World and took only about 15 min, may be a little less.

this is extended stay.They have very few rooms with double beds. If you ""reserve"" a room with double beds chances are you won't get one.There is no refund if they don't have it.They only clean the room once a week so no clean linen or towels. The place is clean, little to no highway noise if you are near the back.

I requested nonsmoking room. The attendant was not helpful at first. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes he gave me the "display room". I entered turned on the heat immediately the smoke alarm went off. Not pleasant smell. I request more blankets and they never came.

The staff member was very rude and would not even try to help us. I am disabled and it is very difficult for me to walk, I had to walk back in forth to the office five times because the staff member deactivated my keys intentionally. I will never again stay at a Homestead Inn.

I was early for check in because I had a wedding to attend and they were very friendly and said that wasn't a problem and gave me the key and checked me in. The problem was that the key did not work. They then could not get a key to work and the clerk wanted to go down there and fix it herself and finally when she opened the door to the room, it had not been cleaned. The bed was still unmade, etc. I had to go back up to the office now for the fourth time and insist on another room. Now it is the time for check in and she said she did not have another room available. She had two maids call in sick that day. She upgraded my room, but I was late for the wedding which was frustrating to me. The room was clean, but there were so many stains on the carpet and the bathroom fixtures and paint scratches, etc. That it didn't feel clean. My family told me "you get what you pay for" and I guess that is the moral of the story for me on this visit.

The hotel clerk tried to charge an extra 20 dollars, we have never had this to happen as a mother and son we needed two beds they wanted more money as non smokers we were told it was a non smoking room yeah with an ashtray in it. We were too hot when you turned the air on heat would come on and the smoke detector would go off, it smelt like burnt hair, we had to remove the battery from it. We had to leave the refrigerator open all night and it was still too hot. The freezer frosted up and it did not cool the room. The windows were each up app. 6 inches and had cuts in the metal frame to keep from being pushed higher so it was evident they knew there was a problem. At daybreak we had to prop the door open to get air. We have never had a bad experience till now and the Homestead Inn we were put in needs to be removed, it was unsafe, unlivable and a total loss of our money. We could have slept better in the airport.
