Overall I was pleased with my stay. The location provides many good places to eat ( some within walking distance, others less than 1/2 mile by car)The resturants were within the price range of someone on a budget and also a few upscale places for those with more money to spend. Within a mile there was a large mall, also a great many scenic small shops to browse in and out of were within walkig distance. The neighborhood was clean and appeared safe. The room was neat but dirty. I believe they could increase their customer staisfation greatly by only a few small changes. 1.The room had a heavy stale odor which could be remedied with airing out the room on ocassion. 2.The Bathtub/shower contained quite a bit of mold and mildew, besides being unpleasesant to look at, you feel you are standing on a surface that was not well cleaned prior to your arrival. I believed the staff who would clean during my stay would make some extra effort to make sure it was removed, but this did not happen. 3.The carpet was very, very dirty, when walking barefoot the bottoms of your feet turned black. So in some ways this is a hard one to rate because they did so well in some areas and so poorly in others. Price was is was a bargin.

Location. Walking distance to Old Scottsdale. On the Scottsdale free shuttle route. Good staff. Helped me quickly. Rooms wereolder and it shows. This is a fine, clean place to stay: adequate facilities, kitchenette with microwave, sink, dishes, full-sized fridge, swimming pool, etc. Best points are location, great staff, and access to mass transit. Internet access is available for $5 per stay, not per night.

As stated, these little (what, 261 SF?) cozy but reasonably functional suites fit the bill nicely, with its location being almost smack in the middle of old town/shops/Civic Center/Art Galleries, Scottsdale! Attractive/near nu building & roomy parking lot, next door to a quite good genuine Mexican Restaurant (w/to go), and two short blocks from the upscale Art Galleries district (perhaps 3-4 blocks to Old Town district). There set up as long term business suites so, no having to deal with cleaning staff each day (they leave xtra sets of towels in the bathrm). Kitchenette is fairly complete for a party of two (bring xtra plastic utensils if 3 or more) incl. stove top, large Fridge, small Microwave, toaster, coffee machine etc. Not alot of closet hanging space but adequate. Bath is relatively clean and like nu, w/the standard small but strong hair blower. But, the smallish Queen bed is totally insufficient for two, and worse, sagged toward the middle, w/little support and some of the springs clearly starting to push thru the matting! I'm a lite sleeper and it was a royal pain to fall asleep & stay asleep (ie, better bring an effective sleeping aid/pill). The only 'xtra' attribute worth mentioning is the clean small pool & sunning area around it. Barely big enough for laps but fairly shallow and great for kids and at least getting wet when its warm or hot outside. Don't expect pop machines or wake up calls (not sure if they even have an ice machine though they probably do). But all in all, you can't beat the location, functionality, or the very reasonable nightly price! Ours was a package deal, and it was quite reasonable!

The hotel location was excellent. The rooms were modest and the bed was uncomfortable. It is a basic no frills hotel.

This was a great place. close to old town and shops. very clean and nice staff.

I loved the kitchenette and full sized refrigerator. There was no pool. The staff was courteous and very helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the kitchenette was fully stocked with utensils and such to cook in if you didn't want to go out. Apparently I was in a smoking room, but I could only tell because 2 clean ashtrays were provided in the room- it had no lingering smoke odor. I was very impressed.

Perfect location! Clean and cheap, with great access to Scottsdale ammenities. The room is okay, just not very updated, but who cares really, the rooms are so cheap!"

Loved the location. No silverware/utinsels or salt and pepper shakers. Good room. Not very big at all but perfect for our purpose!

not at all as represented- linens were stained, the 'well stocked kitchen' included 2 of the basics-2 plates, 2 glasses, 2 settings of flatware, 2 pans- thats it- spend your money elsewhere -dont ruin your trip by staying here-

Convenient location. No sofa & no extension of time available. Extremely disapointed in not being able to get an extention of 1 day when there were plenty of rooms available. Had to pack up & go else where. This is the 1st extended stay hotel I've stayed in that did not have a sofa for my guests to sit on.

Very friendly front desk person. Extremely helpful in giving directions. The pool had rocks and beer caps in it. If you need a clean bed and a place to stay for overnight travel. This motel/hotel fills those requirements.

The room was clean and modern. This is a perfect place to stay if you are looking to sleep at your hotel. It is a bit small if you plan on spending a lot of time in your room. It would still be great for one person!

I like having the little kitchen so I can do my own thing at any hour. The air conditioner is noisy and close to the bed. This was my third stay at this hotel, and it has been consistently clean, quiet and has a friendly, helpful staff. When I travel alone, I feel safe in this motel. It is very conveniently located for shopping and dining in downtown Scottsdale. A Walgreen’s next door makes it simple to stock the room with basics for breakfast or snacks.

Cooking facilities. Completely misled on its location in Scottsdale, AZ. Nothing to complain about in regard to facilities, but I was not aware that the Homestead.

It was cool, dark with drapes drawn and very clean. Just a tad small.

Second stay here. Will be back soon. Could be closer to freeways. Rooms are self sufficient for long term and are large enough to not feel claustrophobic. I will be back.

Nice full size refrigerator. Alittle small. For the money this hotel was great. It was small, but did have a full size refrigerator, stove, and microwave. It is in a great location in Scottsdale. I would recommend it for business travel.
