Date of Stay:
January, 2009
The room was quite comfortable with a microwave and fair sized refrigerator. The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom was decent. There was a laundry room with vending machines, but no hotel restaurant. My only complaint was the check in was somewhat terse. The room was OK. This is an OK hotel, especially if you are staying for a while.

It had a goodTV , and good size kitchen. The patch work on the walls wasn't the best , smelled smoky. It wasa good hotel for the price.

My fiance' and I really enjoyed our visit to Homestead Siutes. I highly reccommend them whether you are going for the weekend or on a weekly business trip. This place was great!!!

My complaints: - This motel, according to the manager at the desk, routinely puts smokers into non-smoking rooms if they run out of smoking rooms. This means if cigarette smoke is a problem for you, you may experience being woken up at 5:30 in the morning while choking on smoke from neighboring non-smoking rooms in the middle of a non-smoking building. This happened all three nights of my stay in spite of being moved. - When informing the desk that there was no remote in the room, they just laughed and said there is nothing special on the TV anyway?no attempt to rectify the situation. - The air conditioning unit had a defective condenser which was very loud and produced no cool air. When the desk was informed of the situation, they said they could not do anything about it.

The management was disappointing when presented with a used condom that we found stuck just below the headboard in the room that we were in. They offered no compensation for such a shocking lack of room readiness.

The service. I paid for the refresh service on the room it did not get done. The manager refunded my money and promised me he would have the room cleaned for me. That did not happen. The room was dirty when we checked in. I will not be staying there again.

Check-in was smooth, especially since I arrived at the hotel at 2 am due to a flight delay. However, upon entering the hotel room, there was an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke and cigarette ashes on the floor next to the bed. Furthermore, when I flipped the light switch, nothing happened. I had to turn on the TV just to get some light in the room. Upon inspection, there was no bulb in one lamp near the bed and the other bulb had apparently burnt out. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again, but perhaps request a non-smoking room if available.

Staff was friendly, good stay for money, but not the most luxurious! It was hard to find since we didn't know Atlanta and it wasn't on a main road. The staff checked on us right away and check in was smooth as well as check out. After we found it it ended up being in the perfect location pretty close to everything.

Very nice quiet hotel in the woods 6 miles outside of Atlanta. The front desk staff is an outstanding woman and what a great initial welcome here.

I loved the location, being minutes from Lenox Mall. The guest staff was very courteous besides the fact that then became uncomfortable due to the guy checking me into my room was very flirtateous. Upon entering the room, my attention was immediately drawn to the mini-kitchen, which I liked the idea of until I looked on the floor and there was a really big roach! I did not complain, but washed everything myself before using it from the icetrays in the fridge to the countertops. The only other thing that gave me chills was the cirty shower curtain lining. I think I would have to take my rating back that I'd stay here again.

When I checked into my hotel my door was open. The clerk at the front desk said that the roomkeeper had just finished cleaning it. The floor was very trashy. The bed was thrown together like someone was in a hurry which seemed nasty also. There was no trash can in the room.

I liked the fact that it was close to downtown Atlanta and restaurants were not far from the hotel. I also noticed that it was close to the highway. Although it had a mini kitchen, there were no pots or plates. The mattress was too hard. My room was clean and attractive. Service was great. Room in the internet and the receptionist made the necessary changes. My only complaint was that the mattress was too hard for my liking.

Hotel is located close to all downtown Atlanta spots and MARTA. Reasonably clean and well maintained. Bright spot was when we arrived there were no rooms with doubles, so instead of making us wait, staff temporarily gave us all single rooms. Great customer service move. Would definitely stay here again.

The Homestead was what you would expect for the price. The room was comfortable and served its purpose because we were looking for a hotel room that provided a stove and refrigerator. I would recommend this to a friend.

Location. No free Wi-Fi, trashy. Disappointed. Non-smoking room stank of smoking, burn marks on various surfaces. Toilet ran continuously. AC was noisy. Paint falling off ceiling. limited number of TV stations, TV changes channels very slowly!

for the price,it's clean and convenient

This hotel was extremely convenient to us as it was near Emory and Egleston Hospitals. It was an extended stay facility so there was a kitchenette in the room. It appeared clean but the beds were an issue. Dirty pillowcases and no matress pads. The bathroom was oddly laid out but functional. We had a last check in so the office was locked and it was difficult to get the gentleman on duty (who was hard to understand) to the door.

Good location. 1st room was unclean. 2nd room was better than 1st, but kitchenette was still dirty. Would not have cooked there. Hotel is old, poorly maintained and does not present well. The desk clerk was very nice and accommodating, but this does not make up for dirty bathrooms and kitchenettes, paper thin blankets, and lack of expected comforts. King sized beds also seem to be in short supply, but the queen bed was decent once we asked for an extra blanket. The only redeeming value of this hotel is the location.

The hotel is great for the traveler that doesn't require any frills or fuss. Adequate service and amenities make this budget hotel more of a value.

Location. Room cleanliness and condition. Use to be a great hotel at a reasonable rate, but since has been run down and there has been a clear lack of maintenance and repairs.
