Good location, made the reservation on line enroute to the Homestead. Friendly courteous staff accidently checked me into a room that had not been cleaned up. Nice size room and kitchen. Dirty chair, one bedside light did not work, refrig. light did not work, showerhead was rusty, deadbolt was missing from the door and phone cord was not connected/fit loose in the wall. TV remote did not work properly but they replaced it. I suppose I could have asked for another room, if I thought it was that bad. Too tired to do that the first night of four though. Hot tub available, but did not feel very warm. Coffee in the morning. Otherwise a good price with some shortcomings. I would go back and ask for a better room next time.

Location and kitchenette in the room. The receptionist was rude from the moment I walked in. There was no pool only a hot tub. The room had a kitchenette, which I appreciated but did not use other than the fridge, but the bed was broken which I did not discover until the middle of the night when I shifted my weight to the right side of the bed, the box springs leaned right and everything nearly tipped over. Also, the tub had some sort of permanent black spots.

Nice hotel loved that it had a kitchen

Hotel is good for the price we paid for. I liked the studio for a couple. Internet speed was good. I rate this hotel 8 on a scale of 10 as a economy hotel.

This place was distugusting to say the least. There was hair on the counter. The bottom of the tub was black from dirt and there was mold in the bathroom. The room stunk of smoke and the dead bolt was broken. I checked out immediately left the hotel and stayed elsewhere. It is in a very shady part of Salt Lake City. I wouldn't stay there even if they gave me a free room.

Access to the 24 hour fitness sport was an enormous plus. I felt compelled to use the extra locks on the door. It's hard to get a decent workout while traveling, and the 24 hour fitness partnership made a huge difference in the quality of my stay. Also it is convenient to all parts of Salt Lake City.

rooms we got one that was clean or dind't smell perfumey & the one we picked didn't have an ironing board, coffee, toaster, tissues or enough flatware for 2. we could have asked for them, but we were tired by then & didn't bother. good location. nice people.

Kitchenette is great - staff friendly. The building was back in a ways & only one way out for emergencies. Agreat location & comfortable room.

Excellant location for center of shopping/restaurants/other businesses we needed on this trip. Easy access to freeways. The room was very comfortable & our room was in a quiet area of the complex. Except for a few problems with other people taking the choice spots for parking to our room, over all this was perfect for needs. The staff was very professional & the room clean & free of obnoxious odors. I would recommend this place to anyone that is staying for more than a day in the city. It's great to have a mini kitchen to save on eating out.

location was very convenient my room was very unclean My room at the Homestead was disgusting. The phone and alarm clock were splattered with something brown and sticky, that I hope was soda, and there was food stuck to the blankets. The light switches, walls and bath tub were equally gross. I will never stay there again and would not recommend the Homestead to anyone.

Great price in a good location. Close to all amenities. The bed could have been softer. It was an old bed, I believe.

Really easy to find, right off the interstate! It cost $15 extra for another bed, we could have been in a 4 star for this much more. The room was not terrible but I was very surprised they would charge us for an extra bed especially for not being a high quality hotel.

The Homestead in Salt Lake City Utah was ok for the price. I room was very much a one star with a kitchen. I was looking for something cheap because I was only spending the night there. That is exactly what I found in this place. They have no kind of breakfast at all. They did have coffee in the lobby. If you are looking for somewhere quite to just sleep then this place is for you. It was in a good location for the trip, but I will not be going back to this hotel.

Close to my business. Broken bed, mold in bath, kitchenette dirty. Although the staff was courteous and friendly the room was in disrepair. Bed was broken and the heater was excessively noisy.

My room was very clean. That is really important to me. I also loved the fact that it had a stove, microwave and refridgerator in the room. The location was wonderful with easy access to attractions nearby.

The price. The bed was worn out, there was black stuff on the air-conditioning unit vents, and the vinyl was coming up. The price was fantastic. It was not noisy even though it was next to a freeway. But hard to get to, lobby rug was dirty and needed vacuumed. There was a drawer knob missing, a rip in the carpet. The air conditioning unit had black stuff on the vents.

It was quite considering how close to the freeway it was. The room was run down and the lobby rug dirty. Nice price but room needed TLC. Flooring coming up between carpet and kitchen, tear in carpet, front of heating cooling unit was dirty with black things in the vents. Hard to get to, when you get off the main road.

The in room kitchen. The bathroom was very dirty, toothpaste in sink, mud in tub and on floor. The hotel is hard to get to as there is a median running the length of the main road. If you miss the one small entrance that is not marked you have to go about 4 blocks to get turned back around. There is shopping close by and plenty of restaurants. The bathroom was very dirty and as was the kitchen. Toothpaste in the sink, mud on the tub and floor and the kitchen counters looked as if they had been wiped down with a dirty rag. There was still food in the fridge also. Normally I have had good luck with homestead suites but this one definitely needed to do some training of their housekeepers.

Price. Room was not clean and fixtures were falling off the wall. The room did not appear to be cleaned after the last guest (dirty rags and bottles still in room). Room fixtures were coming off the walls. Location was a bit sketchy. For the price, it was an okay hotel. Quiet, no frills.
Date of Stay:

The location. Cleanliness, broken glass outside the door and in the carpet inside, when reported nothing happened. We cleaned it up ourselves. Good location, but they lack attention to detail in cleaning rooms and taking care of issues.
