Homestead Shawnee Mission is located half a mile from Shawnee Medical Center and approximately 26 miles from the Kansas City Airport. The hotel specializes in extended-stay itineraries and thus provides on-site laundry facilities and provides dry cleaning service. Business services include mail delivery, complimentary incoming fax, and copy and outgoing fax service for a small fee. Housekeeping service is provided on a twice-weekly basis for guests staying seven nights or more. Guests staying more than four nights (but less than a week) receive the mid-week refresh only. One pet is accepted per guestroom. The general manager has the authority to allow additional pets per room, based on his or her own discretion. Guests with a pet are charged a minimum 75 pet fee upon check-in. All guestrooms have a full kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, and dining and cooking utensils. Other room amenities include a workspace with computer dataport, 1 per stay for unlimited local calls, personalized voicemail, and iron and full size ironing board. Pet Policy- One pet per room is allowed. A 25 USD cleaning fee will be charged per night, not to exceed 150 USD. This charge will be applied at check-in.

Needs better maintenance for the money I expected more. As for amenities,towels were about it. I could find better kitchen utensils at a rummage sale.

I liked how it had a great kitchen for the rate paid. No pool. Would highly recommend this hotel for people who would like to eat in their room some and not eat out every meal. Everything was VERY clean. Location was PERFECT. Landscape was nice, very secure location. I plan on staying here next year when I come back up to Kansas City.

I had a smooth late checkin and late checkout with a accommodating staff. I found the room to be clean, comfortable and with no unwanted surprises- all a weary traveler could ask for. It was suitable enough for a several day stay. I will return.

There was a kitchen but we didn't have time to use it. They provide the bare minimum of service. The cleanliness was minimal. One child had to sleep on the floor because they lied about the size of the beds. No amenities besides washer and dryer outside of room. Hotel staff was young and inexperienced and unfriendly. Overall, service, cleanliness and amenities were minimal. Could have had a better stay with more services.

For sure I am not going to stay at this hotel any more, this was not my first bad experience with this hotel. Dirty. The location is only convenient.

It was just what I needed. The accommodations were sufficeint. When I wanted to see the staff in the office the morning I left, they did not respond when I rang the bell. It was 30 minutes after opening. The room was clean. Everything worked. It was warm. The staff when I arrived was very acommidating. When I left I had a question so I went to the office and even though it was about 30 minutes after opening I could not get anyone to answer the door. Other than that I have no complaints. It was okay.

I love having the kitchen facilities. We have stayed at a lot of Homestead hotels and this one was just as clean and comfortable as all the others. It sets back off the interstate so it's easy to access but doesn't have any highway noise. It's perfect for a good night's sleep and a cup of coffee in the morning. It's even set up with an iron and ironing board.

Clean room. Great shower, good hot water and plenty of good towels. Access from parking difficult for elderly. Nice clean little room. Kitchen includes stove top, microwave and refrigerator, no oven. Great shower. Various restaurants nearby. Good I-Hop near.

Staff is always friendly! Shower drain was very slow. Homestead in Merriam, Kansas is well located, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Good price for a short stay.

You could smell clean when you opened the door. Nothing. The room was clean, everything worked, location of the room was nice and quiet. By far the best room I have had with this motel. Staff was very friendly and ready to help in whatever I needed.

The staff was extremely curteous and helpful - ALWAYS. The bathroom could use more detailing in regards to cleanliness. Great hotel for the money, very quiet and pleasant appearance outside - more like a four * hotel. Room was missing an iron, but the front desk promptly gave me a new iron when I rang. Adequate space including the kitchenette and bathroom. I would stay there again.

Price and location. Aroma, bed, cleanliness, toilet not working and smell. For the average family I would not recommend this hotel. It was dirty, smelled awful, the bed was awful, pillows awful, and the toilet didn't work unless you opened the back lid and pulled up on the thing. Extra towels cost you extra, and they don't have extra pillows. It was really a disappointment.
