The hotel appeared to be clean and kept up. There was no dishwasher in the room making it difficult to clean used dishes. Guests had to pay extra for pickup and replacement of dirty towels. They were given freely at the front desk, but the guests had to carry them out themselves. Washing and drying dishes made this especially inconvenient. The sheets did not fit properly on the bed thus causing an uncomfortable nights sleep. The front desk is not accomodating with air travel guests who need boarding passes. They refused to run our boarding pass, even for a fee. We were told where closest Kinko/Fed Ex office was and that we could go there. The hotel ran a fire alarm inspection on Monday morning during our stay and did not notify the guests. When I tried to call the front desk, there was not answer. After 7 tries, I got dressed and went downstairs, and was greated by the hotel manager, who told me that the clerk had the front desk phone and was with the housekeeping staff. There was a phone on the desk. He was unapologetic and I was told that it was not their procedure to inform guests of emergencies. I checked out that day. I will not stay at this hotel chain again, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.

I liked the fact the it had a kitchenette. And the rate was great! No business center. Everything was great. He hotel was nice and so were the employees. The even guest rep was delightful to talk.

The rooms have paper thin walls, and the curtains do not cover the windows, which have bright lights outside them. I have no clue where the rating comes from, but I would give this two stars at best. For the money, it was way overpriced.

This hotel was nice but offered no daily services unless you paid an additional fee. Location was nice near a college campus. Overall was a good value.

Convenient to the Palace at Auburn Hills. No continental breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were not familiar with the area and they were helpful in providing information on restaurants.

Very clean room. Reasonably priced. Couldn't get the wireless to work and had to pay for the access. Staff was pleasant.

The front desk clerk is the best front desk clerk I have ever encountered. Few TV channels. Playing the same thing over and over. If you are going to stay in a hotel from the extended stay family in Auburn Hill, this one is the best. The front desk person provides excellent service. The evening desk clerk isn't a people person nor will she try and solve a problem for you. If you want towels and they aren't in the room behind the desk, she will not go to another room to get towels for you.

This extended stay hotel was not that much cheaper than a regular hotel and had none of the services. Towels for our non-smoking room were from the smoking rooms, staff did not properly explain services, everything (including room cleaning and internet connection) was extra, there was no shampoo or dish soap, and room was only stocked for a one night stay (coffee, etc) which they did not replenish without a fee. The electronic key stops working the day of checkout (12am), so don't arive after midnight or leave your room the morning of checkout and expect to get back in.

Spacious room with full fridge and stove. No pool. This was our second trip to this hotel. A great room.

Ive stayed here quite a few times, the price is really good for what you get in return. The kitchenette is always clean and the bathrooms are too.

The location was great. Only 1 bed in room and no wake up calls. We arrived late due to the fact that we drove 2 plus hours and we made it through a snowstorm.

My room was clean, quiet, and nicely furnished. Hallway seemed to smell of old cooking odors. I stayed at the Homestead in Auburn Hills for one night. I was just in town for a concert. But the room would have been great for a longer trip as well, with the full-size refrigerator, microwave and stove. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the TV, remote and lights all worked. I would definitely stay here again.

The location. Night time front desk staff. The overall location was excellent but The night staff gave us a hard time and was not courteous after our long travel.

The opportunity to be able to cook in the room was a bonus. This was the first time I stayed at this hotel. The security of the building and the lack of noise from the rooms next door was great. Even with a busy street right next door, I did not hear the traffic. The staff was very helpful in giving directions and obviously took pride in the cleanliness of the rooms and shared areas.

The staff was professional and very helpful. As well the hotel provided much privacy. It was a great time and location for the events that I had planned for the weekend. Great experience!

There is too much noise. I was put in the room 2 doors down from the elevator and people were talking in the halls, I could hear the front desk phone. The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly. I hated the huge space under the door and how loud it was in the hall way. I could hear everything and you need to fix the doors as there is easily an inch gap where light comes through the front door.

Staff was terrific- Frederick, Amanda, wonderful. Key would always have to be re-coded. My Husband & I were very happy with the hotel, however the re-keying was very annoying. The people at the front desk, people who vacuumed and the ones who cleaned the rooms were very nice, friendly and made you feel welcolm. Frederick always called me by my name which was outstanding!

Rooms were spacious and the hotel was easy to find. We had an excellent stay. The front desk clerk was great at helping us out and even gave us directions to the nearest McDonald's. It was a great experience.

It appeared to be clean. No hotel computer for use by its guests or room for business. Have to pay for Internet usage in your room. No shampoo in the bath or dish soap in Kitchenette, had to go out and buy those items which were not at the desk.

Close to freeway. Despite repeated calls to tech support slow internet. Nice example of Homestead quality. Area, so so business plex on divided highway.
