We had a great time. The room we were in included a small second room with two bunkbeds that my daughter loved! - She called the hotel her "new home" and thought having her own room was so cool. The grounds and property is well taken care of, and the crater is fun to see, although we did not do the scuba dive this trip. The pool was great and they have a huge hot tub as well as several mineral hot tubs. We swam every night! There were lots of young families like ours there and it was great. The one down side is there is only one restaurant which is somewhat pricey and we were not that impressed with the food - you have to leave the property to get anything else, but the rooms do have a good sized refrigerator so we stocked up on food for lunch and breakfast and drove into town for dinners. Overall it was a great trip and we would go again in a second.

We liked that they had a free concert with a decent band on Saturday night.

Upon arrival to the Homestead Resort in Midway, Utah we were greeted by a training employee who was very courteous and friendly. Utah in August can be dry but the Homestead grounds were beautiful with large shade trees and flowers overflowing from planters. Although the garden room was not luxurious, it was clean and comfortable. We were surprised to find a small refrigerator and microwave in a small second room attached to the bedroom. Across the street sits a newer and possibly fancier place, the Zermott but the Homestead with its beautiful grounds and peaceful atmosphere was exactly what we were searching for! We mountain biked in the nearby strawberry recreation area. One morning we walked outside our door down the road and ran through the beautiful Wasatch State Park and golf course. Upon our return we sat on the front porch of the Garden room, read the courtesy newspaper and drank in the beautiful Utah summer morning. We thought the reasonably priced room, the beautiful landscape and peaceful surroundings plus a pleasant room were just what we were looking for. IF you are searching for the same you will find the Homestead to be a pleasant and peaceful experience. It was a wonderful romantic getaway leaving kids and dog at home!

The Homestead was great! It was a little old, but I guess that is part of the unique character. Tons of things to do, especially for families. Hope to schedule a family reunion there in the future!!

This past weekend we stayed at the Homestead resort to celebraete our 18th wedding anniversary. Whil I could go on regarding the incredible Spa and wonderful lodging, I want to focus on the Sunday Brunch. The Sunday Brunch is the best we have experienced in Utah. We were amazed not only at the variety of food items available but the quality and presentation. The foold was cooked to perfection, the fruit ripe and juicy, and the pastries and desserts were just too good! Also, the warm feeling of the fireplace, the woman playing the grand piano (who was quite good) and tgeh attentive and c heerful staff all added greatly to our time. We now have a favorite spot. My wife is already telling everyone she knows that they must come up and experience it. We know taht we will be coming back often.

We were here for two nights for a family reunion. While the members of our large group were spread out over the campus-like property, there were central meeting points such as the pool and the main building where you check in. Homestead is tiny town, not much there, but it is nice. The resort is about 25 minutes from Park City, and about an hour from Salt Lake City. The resort is made up of several buildings with grassy, tree-shaded areas. There is an outdoor pool that is large and then there is a smaller in-door pool as well. The locker-room areas were a not as clean feeling as they could have been, but then again what locker room does feel clean. We ate on property a few times and felt that the food was always solid. The room was nice, but dark. It felt a bit worn overall and the bathroom was tiny, dark, and outdated. There is a golf course on property that looked well kept, although I did not get to play it. The hotpot (thermal pool under a natural dome) was not easily accessible and required check-in at the front desk. It was interesting and is worth checking out, if not swimming in. We really left thinking that it was a great place for a reunion due to the size of the rooms (roomier than the standard room these days), the campus-like setting, and the pool area. Make sure to go to Park City to check out the Olympic park, well worth it.

At first I thought we were lost when we were heading through Midway. But when be got here I knew I found something special. All the staff were so friendly. Both restaraunts were delicious. We had to wait a little at the cafe but it was worth it. The fancy place was something I had never experienced. We spent more than we wanted but it was worth it. Oh and the brunch. Lots of desserts. Our room was nice and comfy, but it could have used a deep clean.Check out the crater, kinda wierd like out of a SIFI movie"

The Homestead is a quiet resort with a good variety of activities within the resort or nearby. We were not displeased with any part of our experience. The staff was efficient. We were given a sample of great fudge. The room was clean and quiet. The resort is family friendly. We felt safe walking around after dark. We commented upon departure that we'd both like to stay there again soon.

All around great place. Many activities for all ages. Our room didn't have a DVD player, mini fridge, or microwave. Girls weekend out! My mother, two sisters and I left the families behind and spent the weekend at Homestead. I was amazed at how many activities were available for all ages! Two indoor pools, a huge outdoor pool, and the jacuzzi at the aveda salon had 95 degree mineral water piped over from the Homestead Crater and was free to soak in! Golf, biking, tennis, volleyball, scuba diving in the crater, and an activity center full of fun stuff to do. I espacially enjoyed the deer that pranced through the grounds in the evening. The philly sandwich I ate at Fanny's grill was bland, but their fruit plate for breakfast was nice. The fudge at the gift shop is amazing. We stayed in the "Shaker House" building. It was clean and I was excited the little soaps and shampoos were Aveda, but there wasn't a microwave, DVD player, or mini fridge. That was disappointing because we had planned on hot cocoa and popcorn with our movies, though they did send over a bellman with a DVD player as requested. I will absolutely bring my family next time!

The friendliness of the people was a great thing to see. Nothing. Well done. You have to experience the quietness and calmness for yourself. The restaurant was wonderful for the amount and places I have traveled this is one I will go back to again.
