Cheerful service, facilities good but noises from adjacent suites intrusive.

Room Type: Superior Suite Room Description: Brand new superior suite designed by International and Australian Award winning Designer Roytson Wilson. Stunning bathrooms, mini kitchenette, flat panel wall mounted LCD TV, additional sound insulation. Above is the description of the room I booked. Sounds reasonably nice. This was not a suite. I have stayed in suites. This was just a tarted up 1980's motel room. And there was definitely nothing superior to it.Except compared to the rooms they hadn't done up. "Royston Wilson" of international designer fame must have been colorblind and the budget for the room decor mustn't have been more than a few hundred dollars. The carpet was a grey textured short acrylic loop stuff so as not to show any marks. Very short pile not comfortable under foot at all.The furniture looked like it came from Fantastic Furniture(ie cheap mass produced modern crap).The bed spread was blue, green and yellow all over "tropical "pattern. I didn't think hotels still did bedspreads. The cheap 2 seater sofa was a lovely museli brown and check patterned fabric number so as not to show the marks either.Not as scheme more a collection of left-overs. Admittedly the bathroom was new. OK but it had one of those hideous water saving shower heads in the shower that has about 10 holes and the water comes out so fine its a mist rather than a flow. And because it was a mist rather than a flow it went everywhere outside on the floor beyond the "modern frameless" part glass shower screen seperating the shower from the bathroom floor. So on exiting the shower it took 5 minutes of mopping up the floor with a towel so I didn't slip over and break anything. In addition to this the bathroom floor couldn't have been actually cleaned in some time as when I picked up the towel the white towel was very dirty for having to be used to dry the floor. And now to the sound insulation. Well it didn't stop me from hearing the swearing and drunk hoons that came back to the motel at 4am from the nightclubs in town. They were 4 rooms away and yet I could hera the "f" and "c" words and the loud singing. Pity the people who actually had the room next door. Please spend your money elsewhere. This establishment shouldn't be charging the prices they can per room. My 2 night stay cost $280. I only chose this place as it was proximate to a function I had to attend over the weekend. Not happy Jan......
