i thought the trip and the stay was alright.the hotel was very hard to find.it was behind a cvs pharmacy and the signs were very small,in fact i was across the street and had to call the hotel staff to find out to get into it.there were other people that stayed there and had partied and got sick all over the steps and they didn't clean up until late the next morning.

Location, good value for the price. Bathtub needed to be replaced.

room was dirty and the staff including the manager was rude and unfriendly. I would never come back...

While the Homestead Suites does have a kitchenette to make your stay more comfortable, this one needs to be remodeled. It is very outdated. Some new rugs and redo the bathrooms would be a great start! Then it would be a good place to stay. The location is ideal which was our main reason for choosing it, as well as the privacy of the rooms.

The price and that's about it. Please see review. I chose the two star because I had stayed at other hotels in the area that were listed as two stars and they were fantastic. However, while the price was outstanding, the hotel was horrendous. It is described as a suite, and while it has a kitchen area, it was smaller than most normal rooms that I have stayed in. The pillow had cigarette burns in it although it was a non-smoking room, I could hardly fit on the bed anyway, the TV had very few channels and hardly worked because of a rain shower and the signal went out; I wanted to get a drink but there was only one thing to drink out of and it was a coffee mug and it was dirty, and there was a used band-aid on the bathroom floor.

It was kinda hard to find the hotel behind all the shopping centers but we managed and the location is dead set in the middle of everything. Service was great and the rooms were very nice kept for the price!

The room was very large, well laid out and comfortable but the sheet did not fit the bed and kept popping off during the night and the bathroom had not been cleaned at all. Otherwise it is a good location and good value.

Location and kitchen facilities. Decor and no bathroom amenities or toiletries, very spartan feel though clean and adequate.

"We checked into our room and it was very dirty and the air conditioner was damaged. We complained and was given another room. Room smelled, dirty and the bathroom was very dirty. We checked out immediately."

The lights were really bright in the bathroom. They don't have my junky TV station - the CW channel! The room is small, but the layout left enough space for me to do my exercises. The kitchen is great. The lights were bright, so I could read; but the chair had a low back, so didn't provide enough support. The closet doors were 2 mirrors, which were really nice.

"When the 2nd half of our group arrived (1 day later than the first half), they were unable to provide a non-smoking room as we had requested. They tried to give us a room that smelled strongly of smoke, hoping we wouldn't notice. Also, the room used by the first half of our group (on the 1st night) was not very clean and there were no wash cloths available. Getting a refund through was very complicated and frustrating. It took 2 calls on 2 different days and more than an hour each time!"

"After check in, upon entering the room we noticed a strange smell. Went directly to the bathroom-Ick! Opened the fridge, dirty and stuff still in it. Pulled back the bed sheets - multiple hairs and black ""flecks"" all through the sheets on both beds. We couldn't get out of there quick enough! Promptly checked out! The rooms need a definite sprucing up. Don't risk it!"

It was affordable and moderately convenient to Downtown Richmond. This hotel was adequate and affordable, but nothing elaborate for those who wish a bit of luxury. That was not part of our travel requirements for this trip. We are currently dissatisfied with staff for their failure in customer satisfaction.

Nothing. Cooking odor in room, people living there permanently. As a long term hotel it is okay. For a one or two night traveler, it lacks even basic amenities, such as shampoo or glasses, plastic or otherwise. Room had cooking smell in it and counter surfaces did not seem clean. Very hard to find, sits literally behind a small strip mall.

Clean, convenient studio with kitchenette. It offers the base accommodations, when a traveler is worried about a roof over their head and the ability to organize themselves.

Good location and pleasant staff. The room was small and when I asked for 2 double beds they said it would be an extra $25 a night. The bathtub was heavily soiled and in bad need of a good scrubbing. The coffee pot and microwave were not properly cleaned. Room was cheap and you get what you pay for.

Attractive, cozy inviting space. A bit small, someone had a large dog on property. I was pleasantly surprised. Room was clean and attractive although a bit small.

The staff was nice. Doesn't seem to be safe. The first room I got couldn't even lock. The hotel is not that clean.
