The price was reasonable, the hotel is in a very (safe) suburban neighborhood, the staff was friendly and the room looked almost new. The surrounding area seems very progressive and quite nice including: the Target across the street and the restaurant (Carrabba's) and the YMCA that are both located next door. I also found 6-7 public golf courses within a 5 mile radius of the hotel. There are few negatives: the price was $15-$30 cheaper but, once you add on the $5 internet fee and go buy breakfast there's no real savings there. The housekeeping staff only comes every 2-3 days and the towels are not replaced each day without requesting them. None of these things would stop me from returning and I would stay here again on business or vacation but, if you have kids just remember no breakfast is offered and there is no swimming pool.

Liked the kitchen facilities.

The front desk staff was very nice. The room was filthy. The shower and shower curtin had mold in several places, the carpet felt slimy, bedspread was gross, bed was not that comfortable. I would never stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is a extended stay hotel. Linen service is weekly. The hotel has no restaurant but features a kitchenette and there are plenty options to eat outside the hotel. The hotel is at walkable distance to the Reston Town Center and the Reston Bus Terminal. You can take the Bus to the Metro Station in West Church Falls and be in Downtown DC in about an hour. The hotel configuration has the room door to the parking lot, similar to a motel. Which means two things: All your belongings are exposed to theft and keeping the room clean is hard, especially when you have weekly service! My room was extremely dusty which made breathing at night almost impossible (I have asthma). Noise is another problem, just because you are facing the parking lot you get all the noise from the street. I got woken up in the middle of the night with the chatter of some IT folks coming back from work. I'm personally not planning to go back to this hotel.

Good deal. Too far from where I was working. Good accommodations with friendly staff.

Had a 3 burner stove, no pots or pans or utensils. Had a coffee maker--no cups-had to go to front desk. Monday morning someone was trying to get into the room with a key--thank goodness for the deadbolt, called front desk and was told it was a manager looking for an ironing board--hello--how about knocking first. Hair in bathroom upon arrival--overall hotel needs an uplift...staff was complacent..at 180 a night, I expected better. Location was great..Target across the way and a Carabba Italian restaurant w/in walking distance. Booked online w/credit card...was told they had no record of payment and they wanted my credit card upon arrival. Had proof of payment printed from online transaction. Disappointing overall. Better buy out there for your money..shop around! I read the reviews and truly ? who wrote them.

The Homestead Suites were within walking distance of BSI where I was taking classes. I felt secure in leaving my car in the parking lot and did feel concerned about walking around the neighborhood at night. There were many dining options within walking distance. Starbucks at Potbelly's was a great morning treat. I look forward to many returns when I work at BSI.

Checking out of it. Cleaning staff's integrity is questionable as well as management. The management as well as the cleaning staff has questionable integrity. I left a jacket in my room and the cleaning staff had taken it. They lied to the management that they hadn't taken it.

Poor service, faulty 5AM wakeup for 3 days in a row, very cheap bed/ linens/ lighting. Spend the extra 50/day and stay anywhere else

Our stay was great. There were lot of places close by (Target, Subway, etc) and lot of stores near american dreamway with a shopping mall. The hotel was clean with a kitchen.. and well maintained. I was not able to find the elevator to the second floor.. but location is great next to bank and an Italian resturant..

The restaurants in the area. Not clean. This hotel has a 3 burner stove. No pots or pans or utensils. Refrigerator not working right froze all of my food. Coffee maker. No coffee mugs or cups anywhere. Hair in bathroom. This hotel could use a major refurbishing. The other reviews were so positive.

Room was very clean, courtyard beautifully landscaped, shaded parking, free access to gas grill, free access to YMCA (very short walk), next door to Carrabas Italian Grill, Wi-Fi 5 for length of stay, had connectivity problems but quickly resolved

Courtyard landscaping and outdoor grill available. Location was very hard to find, bed was uncomfortable. This hotel is ideal for an extended stay, with the in-suite kitchen and outdoor grilling available, but lacks the high end amenities many business travelers seek (high-end bedding, large desk area, hotel-style lobby and on-site dining.)

maid service weekly only - no dishwasher - 1 spoon for 2 people - cockroaches

The convenience of kitchen facilities. No maid service with stays under one week. We were there 3 nights and waste baskets we emptied in receptacle at stair case.

Located near the conference I was attending and other business interests of mine. Not well marked along interstate or local roads. I had to really look for the hotel. The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous. I especially enjoyed the complementary YMCA membership for all travelers who stayed at this particular location, and free bicycle rental. Could use a few soda machines at the facility. If it had any I did not find them.

The staff on duty during our stay was very friendly. Shampoo is only supplied on request. Full kitchen is nice, especially for extended stays. Other amenities are very limited.
Date of Stay:
September, 2005
Refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Smelled, dirty under sink & top of fridge, missing utensils. It was ok, rooms should be checked before each guest to insure a fully stocked kitchen. Only one night stand next to bed makes it very inconvenient for the person sleeping on the side without one.
Date of Stay:
September, 2005
Very clean. Toilet broken, bath tub drain broken, 1 spoon, 1 glass, lights flashed off and on, tv faulty. Had kithchen with utensils. Only one glass, and one spoon. Coffee suplied for coffee maker tasted months old. Bathroom a disaster area. No marking for hot and cold water, drain broken in bathtub. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and the AC labored loudly and still didn't cool the room. Had to pay tolls to get any where.

Minutes from the airport; large, comfortable room. Not quite as clean as I like. Overall, it was a nice hotel. The room was a little bit dirty, the floors need a good scrubbing at least. The room was larger and had more beds than I assumed there'd be when I made the reservation. Staff seemed a little irritated by the super-low rate I managed to get.
