Located at 21 Santa Maria Street on the 1st floor of a 19th century building in the Santo Spirito district in the heart of Florences historical centre is the Home in Florence Apartment and Bed and Breakfast. Offering simple and comfortable accommodation; the rooms are bright; quiet and cozy with windows overlooking a typical quiet street of the historical centre. All rooms have been furnished in a traditional Florentine style and each has a private bathroom. A few minutes stroll away are the main monuments Palazzo Pitti; Ponte Vecchio; Uffizi Gallery; Palazzo Vecchio; Piazza della Signoria and Loggia de Lanzi to name a few and the shopping districts Via della Vigna Nuova and Via Tornabuoni. The main railway station Santa Maria Novella is only 1 km away. The Santo Spirito district is characterized by craftsmen workshops; typical products shops; the everyday life of the local people; and by the picturesque town landscape still preserved here. The district is also famous for its restoration; painting; design; fashion and Italian language for foreigners. In the district you can find typical Florentine cuisine; bars; discos and clubs which make it one of the most interesting places in terms of Florence nightlife. Guests are requested to contact the hotel to specify arrival time as the reception is not open regular hours. According to the City Council resolution n. 230-33 from 1 July 11 the City of Florence will introduce a tourism tax applied to non-residents staying for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights of Euro2 per night per person. It is not applied to people who provide assistance to patients in hospital; max one each patient; or to children up to 10 years. Children 3 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 4-12 receive a 20 pct reduction. Children over this age will be considered adult.
