Fair revueThe room was small and it was not on-suite but the people were nice, there was a plentiful supply of tea and coffee in the room and the breakfast was very good, at £66 it seemed a bit expensive but maybe not for Oxford

HollyBush GuesthouseThere was just one problem with the hotel, but unfortunately it is a serious one. My room looked out onto the Banbury Road and evidently did not have double glazing. The noise of traffic from around 5.30 / 6 a.m. was unbearable and meant I could not get back to sleep. This was the only blot on an otherwise very pleasant stay. Excellent food!

i recommend this guest housei really enjoyed my stay , the welcome , the help of host to situate myself around , find beautiful parks for jogging , walking , help to use excellent bus system to Oxford city .my reserves: my room was rather small and the window difficult to open to make air circulate. The toilet water flushing might be look at to function correctly .

Excellent! We stayed here because of the location which was ideal for visiting Oxford. Incredibly regular, efficient and reasonably priced bus service from directly outside the guest house to the city centre made it the perfect place to stay for a weekend's sight seeing. The owners couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming, breakfast was delicious and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again.

not worth the expenseI thought that the hotel was very expensive and did not make up for that expense with the accommodation. The room was very nice and clean. however, the menu was limited and the service not friendly.

Thoroughly enjoyed stayFriendly, helpful host and hostess. Clean, well kept, nice rooms. Excellent value. Close to frequent bus service into Oxford and a pleasant stroll to restaurants at Summertown?

A very convenient stopoverThis guest house provided all I needed, i.e. cheap overnight accommodation with parking in Oxford. The place is simply and efficiently run, and the owners are helpful. It is located a long way up the Banbury Road, but there is a bus stop nearby, and the bus service to the city centre is admirably quick, cheap, and frequent. My only (mild) criticism is that the building was rather stuffy - more fresh air needed to be let in !

A 2 night stay in NewcastleI loved this trip. The hotel was conveniently situated by the beautiful riverside. Lots of eateries nearby. As you enter the hotel, the reception is on the first floor - you can use the lift (which is easily missed) just to the right after entering, esp. if you have heavy luggage. Also beware, if you are walking back to the Station with heavy luggage, there is a steep climb involved via the Side.Inside the hotel has a contemporary decor incl. the use of flat screen TVs; the lighting used is low level, so it may not necessarily suit those with visual problems. Usage of a safe, which will hold a laptop, is included within the price of a room. Contrary to what one might expect, the breakfast room is on the top floor! Overall, the stay was a great experience, but more so because of the riverside.

It was a good bed and breakfast - clean and comfortable with a television and sink in the room. We had to use a shared bathroom but that was also extraordinarily clean and comfortable. Its easy to get to the B&B on the bus but it would be a long walk into town! The landlady was nice enough but kept to herself and there was a feeling of privacy for guests which was nice.

very small room - supposedly double, but it was barely acceptable for one person. Also, there were separate toilet and shower facilities - not much privacy.

Extra mattress not ready for us on our (late) arrival, but was quickly put right. Room was incredibly small but we were pre-warned about that, breakfast was excellent with a lot of effort made, room was not en-suite but it didn't matter....the bathroom was big and the shower was hot and powerful. Our 3 year old son was made to feel welcome too, so all in all an enjoyable stay for the CLA Game Fair.

Off to a great start - we were offerred fresh milk for a cup of tea as soon as we checked in. The room was quite small but adequate. Furnishings all clean and toning. Bathroom was a little grubby in places but acceptable. Easy to find, parking ok and convenient for North Oxford which was just what we needed.

I had the single room which is very small, but I can't compare with other such rooms in other B&B in the area. You must take the bus to get there, but it's quite easy. I got a glimpse of a larger and much better room next to mine, but I expect it to be much more expensive. Overall, it was \"ok\" from a North-American point of view, I guess we cannot expect too much in a Country that is so expensive.

Accommodation okay, breakfast okay - coffee good

A very average B&B but expensive for what you get. Could be due to the timing of our visit or due to the fact that its Oxford In fact it ended up being the most expensive stay during our whole trip in England. (More than London itself) Very much out of town around 10-15 minutes away by bus. The place is clean and friendly and breakfast is as per expectations. However as mentioned at 66 pounds per night seems a bit much. If you can stay outside the city it might be better to do that and save a few pounds as we essentially did that but paid much more... Oxford has good pay and bus-in facilities and it might be cheaper to do that. You may even get free parking on the outskirts of the city
