Never again! We stayed at this hotel as we were attending a concert at Wembley stadium. We had hoped that it would be a short walk but it took us at least an hour. The double room we had was far too small, the bathroom was tiny and the toilet was too close to the shower. There was an awful smell in the room and everytime someone used the toilet in the hotel we experienced a loud clunking noise in our room. The bedding was clean enough but the room itself could have done with a dusting to get rid of spider webs. The general cleanliness of the hotel was not good, hence the fact we decided not to stay for breakfast. To be honest we couldn't wait to get out. The heating was on in our room and we were unable to turn the radiator off but because we didn't feel very safe in the area, we didn't want to leave our window open all night. Definitely will not stay here again - I really wouldn't say this was a 3 star.

Last Minute Stay At The Hollingbury HotelWhen it looked like we were facing the impossible task of getting to the England vs Andorra football match at Wembley due to the tube strike, getting a hotel in Wembley suddenly became an ideal solution. As such, LateRooms instantly came to mind. At £50 a room, Hollingbury Hotel seemed like a bargain, so it was booked.Getting to the hotel was certainly an adventure - with my sat nav telling me to "turn right and do a U-turn" but we got there easily. Whilst checking in, we parked in the street next to the hotel and paid to stay there 1hr until we'd unpacked and asked the owner where was best to park. He was very helpful and pointed us in the right direction for free and secure on-street parking at the bottom of the road. The room itself was a bit disappointing, as we were given the attic room with no en-suite but private bathroom facilities just outside the door which was a shame. I'm hoping this is because we booked the day before arrival and not because we were a LateRooms customer! (my LateRooms documentation in fact did describe the rooms as "Ensuite room with two single beds...")All in all, this hotel definately delivered what I thought a £50 room would.... a bed for the night and a roof over my head, if I ever needed a hotel near Wembley Stadium again the Hollingbury Hotel would spring to mind, I'd just keep my fingers crossed for an en-suite room next time! (although at a 45minute walk, it wasn't close enough for me to recommend it for the sole purpose of being near the stadium.)

Basic but fits the billBooked this accomodation the night before due to the tube strikes as I couldn't get across and out ofLondon after an England match. The hotel was handy enough for Wembley and easy enough to find. The accomodation was basic but for the price it was reasonable enough. I only wanted a room for the night and a place to kip and this provided that. The single room was small, basic, but enough for my requirements. Like other reviews the downside was the fact that you can hear everything that goes on throughout the hotel, but that said the room served the purpose for me and I would stay there again.

Very dissappointed with quality of the accommodation, the room smelt, the towels although clean had stains on them, the wardrobe door was hangingoff its hinges, the small lamp didn't work. the bathroom was poorly finished. The beds were clean thankfully or I would have left immediately. I didn't stay for breakfast because I thought the entrance, staircase and general appearance of the Hotel and the rooms looked grotty and unclean. I will not be staying there again.

Hollingbury Hotel, night of 23/5/09The room was andequate and clean, if a little small. The bed was firm and comfortable. The shared shower room was OK. The hotel was an easy walk from the Underground Station and almost directly opposite a bus stop served by the N18 night bus. The breakfast was just about OK but the hours of service were too restricted. I would like to see breakfast served until at least 9.30 or 10am, particularly at the weekend when people are probably there for leisure. They stopped serving it at 8.45am. The best thing about the hotel was value for money and I'd recommend it to anyone needing to keep to a strict budget.

overall okRoom ok, bathroom very small and smelt a little, no kettle facilities and not in a particularly nice part of London, but overall ok for the price. Sky TV which was a bonus.

Cheap and not very cheerfulOnly stayed here for 1 night after seeing a gig at Wembley so was really only a bed for the night. However, you could hear everything from all the other rooms and when anyone used any toilet/sink/shower etc.

A bit far off but OKCustomer service was good on average, and the owner was happy to provide some info, but the room was small. The hotel was a bit far off Central London too.

The hotel was really nice and could not fault it the rooms and bed were very comfitable and the wireless was great. But however on the downside was the area, a high crime area very nervous to go out of the hotel so did not.

No tea making facilities in the room. Not ensuite, which is not made clear when booking. Then to find the toilet is shared by others and no lock on the door, well I would be very concerned if I was a female guest!

although the accommodation was nice and clean and customer service was ok we was told there was a breakfast this was not the case it was only coffee and toast this was a disappointment as we was made to belive different.

Breakfast system needs explaining up front but no problem once understood. Bathroom decor new, clean but not well executed (perhaps not finished yet?). No drink facilities in room or vending machines available and not clear if access is easy late at night because the front door is always locked (good security I guess). Overall everything worked and I would have no hesitation staying again

The tube and bus routes made it very easy to access the main parts of London. There is a very useful grocery shop just next door and lots of food outlets just up the road. The ensuite was extremely tight.

As far as budget hotels are concerned, this one is a cracker. They could improve by telling you to park in Inman Road, which is close and free, to save pointless driving about looking. Would definitely stay again.Breakfast was amusingly chaotic, like staying with family keen to keep things moving along! clean and wholesome, absolutely fine.We didn't have young kids with us, but it seemed family friendly enough to us.

the hotel gave excellent service our booking on arrival had been changed to a double, not twin as booked ( WE WERE 2 FRIENDS) but had to accept a double room at this hour of arrival. Breakfast room only seated 8 at one time.

The hotel looks terrible from the outside but has recently been refurbished inside. Although the rooms are small and the en-suite even smaller, it was exactly what we needed for the night. Excellent value for money.

The price is a reflection of the area. The biggest problem I had in one of the new improved doubles was that I both backed onto the office and worse still all/most of the upstairs plumbing came via my room! Flushing toilets and showers made me think roof was coming in! It is also worth noting that the no key policy means that you are also woken by the ding dong of the front door bell.
