Holiday Inn NorwichMade the mistake of having a meal in the restaurant. Very poor quality food - fish and chips looked like a pre-prepared uniform (frozen?) piece of fish with very little fish inside and hard greasy batter. Cheesecake for pudding was still frozen in the middle. Staff were fine.

Location was good. Hotel had a gym. Room was mildewy, bathroom was unclean and staff was not very attentive.

Better than expected!!!Well, I didnt expect the hotel to be as good as it was.Now dont get me wrong, we didnt use the health facilities, but they were there and free of charge if we'd wanted to. Great restaurant if a bit pricey, but very good quality food.Cannot grumble at all!!! Well, apart from the fact it was no smoking but hard to find a smoking hotel these days anyway!!!

Some of the bowls were dirty. Good location in southern Norwich, close to the highway so getting anywhere is easy. They provided many amenities if you forgot anything (ie toothbrush, shaver, needle & thread).

The room was tired, drawers did not glide, veneer chipped etc. The bed was large and comfortable with nice linen. The notepad had 1 sheet only, there was no pen or pencil.

I expected more from an Holiday InnThe hotel room was very shabby; I don't tend to use Holiday Inn's usually because they are expensive. But for sure I won't use again. Breakfast was charged at £13.95 and the quality of the food did not justify the price. The furniture in the room was shabby and I would suggest that this hotel is in need of a serious refurbishment. Internet access was expensive; I would expect that to be FOC these days. The welcome tray did not have biscuits or bottled water; again I feel that this should be standard.Outside, litter, poor building condition and paintwork, not what I would expect from the Holiday Inn chain of hotels. The only good point I should mention was the pleasant and very helpful young lady at the check inn desk.

Short break at holiday innI would recommend this hotel as it had all that I wanted available. The breakfast choice adequate although food not piping hot! Fresh milk for coffee in room arrived very quickly on more than one occasion. All staff very pleasant and helpful. I used the pool and other facilities and found them to be a very good standard. Might be a bit over crowded at high season. As I was leaving I was told that the changing rooms were due for an upgrade and they would be closed for a couple of weeks. Glad I hadn't booked my break then or I would have been disappointed! Beauty salon was very good and very reasonably priced. The bed was comfortable although small (double), as I'm used to a king size, but we managed for a couple of nights.Didn't eat dinner there the menu looked a bit expensive, we went to pub down the road, excellent value for money.Would stay again at this Holiday Inn. Check out very quick.

This hotel is easy to find and the receptionist was lovely. Twin bedroom smallish but pretty tasteful and clean. As usual with many hotels, only one armchair [and one deskchair]. Bathroom minute but adequate BUT start running your morning bath the night before!!! It takes forever. We loved the window-shutters instead of curtains - they really keep the light out. Now the disappointments: 1 - £15 for internet access!!!! WHAT? and 2 - the dining isn't great. Our evening meal was disappointing - lovely staff/bad food. And breakfast was preceded by a QUEUE!!! There were at least 2 coach loads of people having breakfast all together and there weren't enough tables or staff to re-lay them. We had a real bargain from Laterooms, but would never pay the full whack here.

This represented excellent value for money nice room good fitness centre. The big let down was breakfast. The cooked english breakfast was a big let down. It was of poor quality and on our 2nd morning we did not have breakfast due to at least 20 minute wait to be seated. People were asked to wait in the bar area which was over flowing. We checked out and went to another venue and purchased breakfast.

the reseption staff were very friendly and delt with booking my sister and i very ifficiently. the romms / on suite's were very modern and clean, the spar areas were most enjoyable and again very clean with the exception of arround the perimeter of the jacuzi walls and ceiling, the bar was a little expensive compaired to other hotels i've recently stopped in, the breakfast was exalent and the staff very helpful, our overall stay for a long weekend was very good, highly reccomended.

We used this hotel for an overnight stay when visiting Norwich to see an opera. We paid laterooms total price of £49 for a double room breakfast included, so we weren't expecting too much. From the minute we arrived to the moment we left, the staff were totally efficient and friendly. Our room was large, spotless and totally peaceful. The man looking after the bar when we returned to the hotel after the theatre was very helpful and served food for all of us including our starving grandchildren. Breakfast the next morning was served til 11 o'clock- we made it by ten to eleven. All the hot food was still being replenished, no dishes left empty on the hotplates, loads of fresh fruit. This hotel has high standards of housekeeping and every single member of staff, from reception to chambermaids greeted us with smiles. A big well done and thank you to the staff and manager.

Service at breakfast slow. No hotel information such as meal times, T.V. and phone operation in room.

A typical low-quality Holiday Inn. I felt sorry for the cheerful staff. The room was cheap at £69-00 but oh how tired and musty smelling it was! The 'pillow menu' is a joke as all the pillows were of equally poor quality. Also the hotel is a good drive from Norwich City Centre. We didn't dare to eat at the hotel so can't review the quality of the food. The pool looked so dirty we chose not to use it. It's about time Holiday Inn gave this hotel a lick of paint and some new furniture!

we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. staff were friendly and helpful. the only disappointment was the food in the restaurant. The breakfast was very good but the choice of food in the evenings was poor and not value for money. they had a set meal menu, another menu you could choose from and chefs choice which all were near enough the same.
