Really nice environment. Nice facilities, friendly staff.

one reason I picked this hotel was for the nice pool - the Sauna had mold growing under the seats - and we saw roaches in the hotel room - workout room was very small, only 1 tread mill 2 broken bikes and a weight machine.
Date of Stay:
February, 2009
The lobby was nicely decorated. Mold in room, very noisy,it was 88 degrees when we walked in ,terrible experience. Don't stay here. I have stayed in holiday inn's in the past this is the worst.

The Holiday Inn Itasca is in a very very convenient location to the airport, shopping and the business I came to visit. The restaurant offers limited options, and the food was not good. Accommodations were adequate, but it was hard to control room temperature. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Front desk made an effort to give me a room on the opposite side of the highway, without having to ask.

Indoor pool, exercise facilities. Repeat customer. The Itasca Holiday Inn is a good value choice for Chicago area business travelers.

Upon arrival at my room it was discovered that the room had not been cleaned. The desk clerk and security officer were prompt and appologetic in their effort to accomodate me in another room.

The bed was comfortable. Not very clean and the staff.

Nice bar, friendly staff andnewspaper delivered to door. The drapes had holes in them - otherwise room was fine.

I am not sure there is much that I did like about staying at this hotel. My room had a foul odor. The location was ok and close to where my business meeting was, however, the room smelled bad. It was like if the room had once been a smoking room and they tried masking it with freshener. On top of that was a mildew dampness feel to the room. The person traveling with me had the same problem in her room. Overall a bad experience.

Very clean, bed comfortable, nice little pub - bartenders were friendly! Front desk staff, horrible, must be Holiday Inn rejects working here. Room was very comfortable and clean. Hotel's location is right on top of a highway, if you don't have the AC or fan on the noise is very pronounced. You are located in an area where within 2-3 miles there are numerous restaurants and pubs. There is a nice little bar with reasonably priced drinks in the hotel. Worst thing why I wouldn't stay here again is the front desk staff is very slow, are clueless on any question you ask them and will make you frustrated when they can't give you a straight up answer.

Friendliness of desk staff. Dirty, old room - needed updating. Not a bad hotel. It's recently under new management and in the process of updating their rooms/beds.

Rooms were clean and pool / whirlpool were nice. No continental breakfast. Directions to the town of Itasca were very confusing and when we called the hotel for help with directions they were unable to help. This was very disappointing as we spent over an hour trying to find hotel.

Location was convenient, just where I needed to be. Not worthy of a 3 star hotel. The floor and room smelled of smoke. Fitness room was had very poor quality equipment. Nothing about the hotel worth speaking good about. Staff was courteous, but the facilities were poor. The whole floor we stayed on smelled of cigarette smoke. One of the worst hotels that I have stayed at.

The location was great. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The beds were like sleeping on the floor they were really hard. The gym equipment could also use some updating. The hotel was really nice. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Would accommodate any of your needs if it is available to do so. The morning Breakfast was great. The rooms we nice and spacious, but the beds are lacking comfort. They were hard Mattresses to sleep on. Our room faced the Hwy, but unless you opened the curtains you wouldn't even know. We also had am Ice machine located right out side our room, but you didn't hear it and it the beds were comfy you could easily sleep till noon if you like that. Very quiet hotel, but it is kind friendly. It has a pool that was nice to use and they would enjoy that.

The hotel was easy to get to from the highway and was near shopping centers. The hotel had blocked TVs from playing DVD players. You had to buy a movie; you could not bring your own. I have a small DVD player I bring with me on business trips. I was surprised to find out the hotel makes a point of blocking the DVD feature from the TV. It's not a big issue, but I won't be staying at Holiday Inns from now on for this reason.

Nice looking hotel, great staff in restaurant. Bed was quite uncomfortable, difficulty checking out - asked us about charges we had no idea about.

Friendly, clean, comfortable, good value. Close to Mall and other attractions. Food & service in restaurant very good. and a nice room. Indoor Pool was a little cold, but it did snow that day so that may be why. Would stay there again. Friendly, clean comfortable and a good weekend value. Very good food & service in restaurant. The grand kids really liked it.

Very spacious and clean, everything that I needed was there. The light right as you walk in the door was burnt out; the air/furnace system was too loud and cranky. This was a very nice hotel, very spacious; I had everything I needed in my room, lots of pillows, and a table for my laptop. I just think they need to do a little better with their maintenance.

Pool and restaurant available. No continental breakfast. It was okay. Not great. Room needed quite a lot of repairs.
