Holiday Inn Reading was easy to find and in a quiet location. The room was comfortable and roomy with a full bathroom. We were able to choose our comfort level of pillows to be brought by the staff. We did not dine here, although the restaurant looked nice. Car parking area was well lit. We used this as a place to stay coming from the Stonehenge/Bath area of England to catch our flight out of Heathrow the next morning. It was probably 30-45 minutes west of Heathrow Airport and a very easy ride.

Excellent hotel.Booked three rooms as a wedding party being held nearby. Arrived at midday and staff very kindly found rooms for us immediately so we could shower and change.Rooms are very good, excellent sound proofing bearing in mind there is a road on one side and a railway line the other - didn't hear a thing. Also no noise in the rooms from the function room on the ground floor.

Holiday Inn Reading WestI have stayed at this hotel a number of times this year. The main factor for me is the cost of the room which tends to be quite variable. At the price I paid this time (less than £100 room only) it represents reasonable value for money. Although situated on the A4 the rooms are quiet. I am not a fan of the evening menu which was introduced in the Spring - the fajitas and the duck pancakes use the wrong type of pancakes. The staff are all very friendly.

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last 12 months. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to help. The new menu introduced at the end of March does not seem to offer as wide a choice as the previous one. Also, there's a few odd combinations: the duck was served with pancakes (as in Shrove Tuesday pancakes) and the fajitas with tacos, I think, rather than tortillas. One further slight gripe and this is evident in a lot of hotles is that I prefer a stronger central light in the bedroom.

Good, clean hotel, efficient service, good deal on price. Only small bad point is that there were no proper soap in shower or at sink.

Good parking in what seemed like a secure car park. Nice welcome reception and a good room. A bit on the pricey side, but certainly had a relaxing stay.

The only problem we had was the receptionist who was rude and sulky, after a late drive I expect to be greeted with some respect and a hello

Food good, service good and helpful. Only thing was that the windows in the room were sealed units - no openers at all, and the air con just heated the room up.

Only real problem I had was I couln't get a mobile phone signal in my bedroom, had to stand by the hotel entrance. Maybe it's just my phone! Apart from that it was a good hotel.

I achieved an excellent deal but I would have stayed here even had I to pay the full price. The one caveat is that the breakfast was extraordinarliy expensive for what amounted to a very light continental. Otherwise very good indeed

Room nosiy as by emergency exit stairwell which must also have been the ventilation shaft for the hotel air conditioning.Phone did not work in bedroom.Computer did not work in reception for internet.

Hotel was overall good, however very quiet on the Saturday we stayed there, resteraunt and bar absolutely no atmosphere. location is excellent with good access to local amenities and rail station.

We were disappointed that our booking for the Marriot Hotel Courtyard had changed to the Holiday Inn without any notification of name change leaving us driving around for 30 minutes trying to locate the wherabouts of the Marriot!! We were really not impressed with only 30 minutes to go before the wedding we were attending was about to start. The room was clean and absolutely fine for our purposes. We had a big fan outside the room keeping the computer room cool which was very noisy but a satisfactory amount was deducted from our bill. The breakfast was not included in the price of room from internet booking and the cooked breakfast would have costed Â£13.95 each - ludicrous price- we went to a nearby cafe instead. Thanks anyway.
