People weren't helpful at the desk as far as asking for directions as they didn't know them and they live there!!! I never got checkout paperwork, maybe I did not need it??? weird anyway, the room was redone and new, did not have a tub though, I like baths and assumed that all hotels had them,,,never been to on without.... pool small and outside part was dirty.

Pool and play area clean along with workout room. The bar/lounge area closed too early at 11:30 even if busy. Staff was very friendly and conveniently located.

Arrived late - no problems with check in. Had stayed here 20 years ago. Lobby area very nice. Rooms - typical for a Holiday Inn with some upgrades to try and keep up with newer hotels in the area. Indoor pool - actually too cold of an area to really qualify as an indoor pool in my opinion. Stayed 2 nights for te price of 1 in my usual Knoxville hotel - so nothing to complain about.

Traveling from Michigan to the University of Florida several times during the school year, my son and I find this hotel to be an excellent overnight stopping point. Not only is it a very convenient location to the expressways and in an upscale neighborhood but also provides clean, nicely decorated contemporary and quiet rooms with wonderful beds with even your choice of pillows you desire. Taking advantage of the internet best buy price is a bonus also. This is an excellent value. We will be staying here again this August on our way back to school.

The elevators. Dust on furniture in hallways. Nice sized rooms, but small bathroom. Only 1 vanity.

This hotel offers evacuation discount prices, saves you about $$ off the regular rate...but call them directly to reserve room. The indoor/outdoor pools were great..a little cold...but we warmed up in the spa! The room was very clean, and the staff was friendly and not overbearing. Frig and microwave in a VERY spacious room...and laundry facilities..which is a plus! Does not offer free breakfast ,but there's a cafe in the lobby and there are tons of restaurants w/in a block of hotel...and a welcoming starbucks up the street. CONVENIENTLY located 4 blocks from a public library and 15-20 minutes from an amazing mall! Only a 13 minute drive to the University of Tennessee..which my 17 yr old checked out. We will definately visit again.

The staff is incredible - I've been staying here for many years, and even when I see new staff members, it's like the senior staff goes out of their way to make sure I'm introduced and taken care of. The hotel is old, yes, but it's very well maintained and was just recently remodeled. I won't stay anywhere else when I travel to Knoxville.

The holliday inn select is great for kids. There is no reason to leave the hotel unless you want something else to eat.The indoor pool is great along with the game room, indoor racket ball & basketball court. The hotel is located five miles from down town(great location).

Location for my needs was great. Near downtown, dining and interstate. Hotel was in the process of remodeling, all facilities not available. Staff should have told me the hotel was being remodeled at check-in. Great location for my needs. Close to downtown, dining and interstate. If you do not need the pool (remodeling) but need a nice place to sleep it's fine. I'm sure after all remodeling is finished staying at this hotel will be exceptional. Nice bar with plenty of TV's tuned to sports. But, the bartender service could be a tad better. Also, the bar is too small to allow smoking; bar should be "no smoking". My room was nice, bed was great. They had to spray for ants one day. No maid service on the second day. Really didn't need it though stayed in a double, plenty of towels and two queens. Free internet (two pc's) in lobby if you don't bring your laptop.

I arrived very early and was allowed to check in several hours early since a room in my category was available. Front desk staff was very professional and helpful. My room was extremely clean and fresh. The decor was very nice. The bathroom contained all the essentials needed and was very clean and attractive. I really liked the shower head that had a good flow of water which is not common in hotels today and felt really good after 9 hrs of driving. The beds were very comfortable and had a thin down/feather cover so a bulky blanket was not needed. .

the hotel and staff were super the room was great but you could not use the pool due to renovation and when you have two small boy's that want to go swiming and cant thats not fun. Overall this is a great place to stay and we are looking foward to going back after the renovations are complete

Wi-fi internet access. No free breakfast. I was restricted to a kiddies menu on the kids eat free and you have to meet certain requirements for that to apply, very costly restaurant. I was overcharged at restaurant and the front desk had only one person to assist a long line of patrons on Sunday morning making the wait in a line sour the whole experience.

"I requested to change rooms upon checkin. The toilet had not been cleaned after the previous guest had checked. The linens on the also looked questionable. Both rooms had showers, no tub. The carpet was dirty and the hallway smelled of stale smoke."
