Friendly front desk staff and free cookies! Washroom seemed like it was falling apart.

Internet connection barely worked. I was unable to do any business online. Restaraunt was overpriced and low quality. Housekeeping came into my room even though I had the do not disturb sign up. Amenities were average.

We were there for a football game with the Cane's. The staff was very helpfull in telling where good restaurants were located close by and in assisting us with directions. The staff was friendly and courteous. The hotel was clean and neat. We did have problems in getting sufficient linens after cleaning but the staff corrected this promptly. The business center printer was not functioning right. The price was right also. The hotel was withing walking distance of some good restaurants and shopping and the local transit train which eventually took us to the ball game. Rather than to drive a car and try to find parking, the staff recommended we take the transit train, which turned out to be a good suggestion. We would definitely stay there again and will recommend it to others.

The bar tender and front desk check in person were really great to my family and super efficient and friendly. There were hookers and pimps in the parking lot the night we arrived. That makes me nervous.

Affordable, clean hotel right across the Highway from University of Miami. The desk was friendly and accomidating. The pool area is clean and pretty with a decent sized pool. Would definitely stay here again. I asked for late check out since our flight was late and they were more than happy to do that. Offered great directions to a few of the local attractions.

The front desk was extremely friendly & accomodating.... allowed us to check in early... offered late check out... asked if we had any room preferences. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms nice & clean. Much better than I anticipated for the price 5 miles from South Beach. Nice pool area as well.

The hotel offers a lot of amenities which I considered very good for the price. The Breakfast was not that great. I woke up at 9:30 and started buffet breakfast at 10:AM. The food was cold, but the restaurant staffs were very polite and courteous.

Conveniently located. Called ahead to make sure I had a double instead of a King and when I got there they did not have any available or reserved. Hotel accommodations are ok, personnel was helpful in correcting a reservation mistake and giving us a double, with small kitchenette one night after we got there. Free parking was provided, which was nice since most hotels now charge for it. Pool was clean and towels were available pool side.

An excellent staff with the added benefit of location. While I would say that my initial impression was estimated to be "satisfactory", I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was wrong. I would also say that the front desk staff were also very helpful. They went the extra mile to ensure that fresh coffee was out every morning, as well as calling for more when the pot went dry or was simply cold. Lastly, I would like to say that the bartender was also very cheerful. You could always rely on him to do the "little things" and go out of his way (and beyond his job requirements) and really made the atmosphere warm and friendly. The only thing that would have been nice would be to have a small place to purchase snacks early on. After having informed the staff of this minor inconvenience, they are now in the process of installing such a place. This showed me that they also take customer comments very seriously, which is something that you do not see every day. Definitely 5 stars in my book.

It was good because it was one of the few hotels near the University of Miami. It was cheaper than all the rest. The water could not get above 99F and the air conditioning was freezing. I'd say about 50C. So if you could add more heat to the water and less cold to the air, you'd be good.

I had booked the trip for an interview in the area as well as to enjoy some leisurely time in Miami. I accomplished both, and had a very comfortable stay. My only gripe would be that they did not supply new drinking cups after we had used the others. It wasn't a huge deal, however, and I'm sure they would have brought them had I called. Also difficult to find a vending machine. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was very polite.

It was very clean, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Only getting onto US1 by car. They should have a rear driveway.

The front desk staff at HI Coral Gables UMiami is extremely helpful and pleasant. When I was not prepared for the tropical downpours they insisted on providing me with an umbrella. The proximity to UMiami is excellent, although one would take their life in their trembling hands to cross U.S. Dixie Highway by foot. The hotel has become completely non-smoking, but my room still had a slight residual odor of cigarettes. The hallway carpets and general decor appear a little dated and the worse for wear, but the rooms were adequate and comfortable. I did not order any food from Room Service or dine in their restaurants due to the proximity of better options. My general feeling was that one stays at this hotel to be close to the offspring over at UMiami!

This Hotel was great, my son was at the University of Miami Hospital and this location was better than I thought. I stood on my balcony and looked right at the Hospital. The staff was great and very helpful to me.
