We spent 4 nights at the Beverly Garlands Holiday Inn. The rooms and restaurant were great! The pool area and sitting area was very pleasant. The only problem we had with the hotel was that the staff in the gift shop didn't give very good directions on how to get to attractions. I think they forget that not all of us have been in the area for years. However, they do have complimentary shuttle service every hour to Universal Studios which was great. Just be sure to try and learn your directions/streets/area before going! Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay.

I liked the closet space and the decor. Housekeeping was friendly. The lady at the check out desk was rude and cold. The reception desk was manned by a very rude woman who was not concerned with good mannas. She was curt and nasty Idon't want to see her sourpuss again. Everyone else was very nice and helpful. She ruins the lot soI won't be going back because of her. The place was very clean and comfortable.

It is good to stay in this hotel because it provides a very good/very frequent transport service to and from Universal Studio Hollywood back to the hotel. Keep up with the good things !

We were pleasantly surprised at the accomodations when we arrived at this hotel. When you don't know the area in a large city, you don't know what to expect. This hotel exceeded our expectations. Friendly staff who greeted you upon arrival, the extras we requested ahead of time were already in our room, we didn't have to ask twice. Parking was well lit, and we never felt unsafe or insecure. We hardly heard any noise both from the hallways or outside. We could rely on suggestions for places to go from the management team and found them easy and timely. One daughter stated the mattresses on the queen beds were the most comfortable she had ever slept on in a hotel. The towels were thick and absorbent, body products always replenished as were the coffee accessories. The location of this hotel for our needs on this trip was really ideal. We all agreed had we stayed in a different location, our sightseeing would have been less enjoyable. We will recommend this hotel to anyone.

Enjoyed the hotel and location was centrally located. Nice bar attached to hotel with great wine selections. Thought the parking was too expensive, $14.00 for the night. Found parking on the street across from hotel. Room was clean, shower had plenty of hot water and the staff was very helpful.

This is a nice quite hotel. Within minutes of Universal studios. The rush-hour drive to downtown LA took an average of 35 minutes. Not too bad for LA! The room was clean and the staff was friendly. I didn't use the resturant so can't comment on that.

We have stayed there three times in last two years for vacation a week each time. I've seen some good changes come to this place each time we have visited. We like the location with access to the highways close by, Unversal is close if that interest you.There are a lot of things to do within 15 minutes driving. Staff is very accomodating, friendly and helpful. If you need directions ask them, their's are much more direct than the GPS. Nice restaurant and lounge not too pricey either.

Staff was informative and friendly. They had a cafe which serves good breakfast and dinner. There was a bar out back if you want to just sit and relax while watching a game on tv or reading a book. A nice spa and a pool as well. I recommend going later in the evening when it's more peaceful and quiet. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a balcony with a view and room service is good. There was shuttle buses that would take you to the metro train station. Hollywood Walk of Fame was only 1 train stop away. A five minute walk to grocery shopping and a 7-11 which is convenient. The only con I have is the location. Unless you have a car, be prepared to spend about $30+ going anywhere. It costed $75 each way to and from LAX.

My sister-in-law & I went to LA for the Ellen Show. We loved our stay at the Holiday Inn Universal Studios. The location was perfect. The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. And the beds were comfy. I wish the room came with breakfast, but we called ahead and was prepared (we brought cereal bars with us). I would stay again if I ever make it back to the area.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant breakfast is OK, dinner was not the best. Location is good, close to major attractions of the city. Room was clean, but the evidence of the hotel age was present.

My sister in law and I recently traveled to Los Angeles just for a fun, girls only vacation. Neither of us had ever been there and really had no idea where to stay. We found the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn with some help from our mother in law. The overall experience was excellent! We were very pleased with the location, cleanliness & how safe we felt staying there. The room was very nice with comfy beds and 4 pillows each with a pillow menu-if you had a specific need. Housekeeping was great. The front desk staff were pleasant and check in went very smooth. They have a small gift shop & the women working were very knowledgable and helpful with any questions we had. There are a couple of restauants on site. We only ate one morning for breakfast, but it was good. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again!

From the moment we arrived at this hotel, the staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Everyone has a smile and a greeting for guests. The hotel property is large and nicely landscaped which makes it like a little oasis from the traffic and bustle of the area. You feel like you are on vacation the minute you arrive! The rooms were very quiet. THey all have balconies. The pool area is large, well-maintained and has a kiddie pool also. The shuttle is great and very convenient - only takes about 10 minutes to get to Universal door to door. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it.

It was nothing extremely special,I would say it was a typical hotel. I am very picky but this hotel passed, it was clean and it felt comfortable.
