We were in a tennis tournament for the weekend. We didn't know until we checked in at the tournament that our hotel was the host hotel for the tournament players. Since we booked through you, Orbitz, we didn't get the hotel rate of 79.99. I am very upset! Because of this unfortunate event, I will prpbably never book through one of these services again.

Good. Nothing to complain about. Great location.

The Holiday Inn Select Hotel is by far the nicest hotel between Dallas and Shreveport. The service is impeccable and the new remodel has turned a great hotel into a Grand Hotel. I have stayed at several properties in Tyler, and HI Select definately has my vote for the "best place to stay in East Texas." Other details that were impressive to me, included the "all day" room service, shuttle service and access to Woodcreek Athletic Club.

We enjoyed our stay, just a little issue with the wireless internet. But otherwise a pretty good stay. They allowed us to check out at 2pm which was nice because our wedding was later in the day.

The staff. The room.

We paid a * non-refundable fee to bring our dog. Their policy is that they will not clean your room if the dog is in there. Not a big deal, but when we asked for clean towels, they gave us hand towels. They didn't ask us if we needed more soaps (we did) or other supplies. The bed was great. The staff at the front desk were not especially nice, although the workers, like the guy who brought us a roll-away bed were very kind. This hotel is overpriced. The rooms are not that big. The service isn't that great. The bed was very comfortable. I didn't enjoy the facility.

Location and very friendly staff. Small bathrooms and air conditioning was a wall unit needs upgrading. Overall was very statisfied with the hotel. Would stay there again

I chose the Select rather than the Express because of location. I was very disappointed in the condition of the room. Very dated. And had to shut off the A/C to hear the TV.

The room was clean and updated. Hallways were very hot. Good hotel, kids loved the pool.

There was a air conditioner leak in my room that the hotel new about and sent the people to fix it, but did not change our room, so that meant we had to walk on the wet floor all night.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were outdated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the rooms were not as nice as I had hoped. Our first room had an odor and we had to be moved to a different room. Our new room ended up being a smoking room, which posed problems for my child who has allergies. Overall, the premises were nicely kept and the pool was very clean. We would stay there again.

Everything was great. No problems what so ever. Hotel staff was friendly, hotel in a good location. Room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant and breakfast buffet was good. We enjoyed our stay.

Dining area very pleasant and airy. Wonderful breakfast on Saturday morning. Is under renovation. Great location very nearby good shopping and restaurants. Pleasant grounds of hotel away from street. Nice pool area but no hot tub. Clean attractive rooms that can be reserved for smoking until June 1, 2008. After that there will be all "no smoking" rooms. Designated outdoor space for smokers.

Location. Noisy and stinky with poorly trained desk attendees. Do not want to waste keystrokes on such a distasteful experience.
Date of Stay:

Lobby was very upscale which gave impression room would be upscale as well. Dressing area was with toilet not separate. This was not a 3 star hotel. I was disappointed when we walked in and there was not a separate dressing area, because if I was putting on makeup the steam from the shower of my husband fogged the window. I don't think it was worth the money we paid.

Location. Black mold on hall ceiling and parts of room ceiling. They need to clean the hall way and get rid of the black mol don hall ceiling and either take down the pop corn ceiling in the rooms or fix the parts that are falling on the floor. You could see the sheet rock in the bath because about a spot the size of a basketball had come off.

I liked the staff that actually helped us. There were 2. Since we had a dog, they would not clean our room. We ran out of towels, soap etc. I was disappointed. We paid $50 non-refundable deposit for our dog, which we understood. However, in other places I've stayed, the maid would leave soaps and would trade towels, etc. We had to go ask for towels. They gave us hand towels. So, we took our dirty towels to exchange them and we weren't given enough. We ran out of soap and shampoo. Our trash was never emptied. It was unpleasant. I understood that they might be afraid of our 17 pound lap dog. But, other hotels will knock on your door and supply it while taking out your trash. What a disappointment this hotel was. Three stars. I don't think so.

Steak sandwich. Staff far below expectations. Fine hotel. Not 3 star. Good restaurant.

Bed was comfortable and pillows were nice. Older hotel. Hotel was older and it showed.
